I have 4 browsers I'll order them from my favorite to least favorite:

    1.Chrome
    2.Opera
    3.Mozilla
4.Internet Exploder, this doesn't even deserve a place on my computer, I've used it like once. But I'm to lazy to delete it, so it lives, for now....

you can't delete IE, windows is crippled without it.

And some poorly made programs launch Internet Explorer to view webpages rather than the default browser. Really irritating.

We do not support IE6, no. It is ancient and microsoft should drop support for it. It is not worth the effort it takes to make sites work properly in it (because of its age).

well I tried firefox 1 month on my Windows machine and 7 and it wasn't a stable browser (crashes/hangs/bad speed and misses a load of futures). When I tried IE8 on my Windows 7 64bit machine it was serius 1 of the best browsers I have ever used ... : o
I had opened 7tabs on my firefox and my CPU while the 30% and 43% . I had exactly the same tabs in IE8 open and the CPU was 0% on ie8 / windows 7
Also IE8 way faster on 7 then on my old Windows XP
And there are fine features in IE8 that's enough for me. I'm Looking for a browser that works and IE8 is more than enough for my

Been exclusively running Firefox ever since I got my own PC. Never had any big problems, apart from right at the beginning when there wasn't as much support for plugins as there is now. It's a tiny bit unstable in my dev edition of Win7, but nothing that disrupts my browsing, and I can afford the occasional memory leakage (though maybe I just have too many tabs open).

And according to this site http://www.favbrowser.com/safari-4-vs-firefox-3-vs-google-chrome-vs-opera-10-96-vs-internet-explorer-8-7/ it beats outs Firefox and chrome...

:) Edit: another site listing Safari as faster..
http://lifehacker.com/5087789/top-10-ways-to-speed-up-your-web-browsing Read #8 "Look at nearly any web site's traffic statistics, and Apple's Safari and the Norse-made Opera browser are just a sliver compared to how many use Internet Explorer and Firefox. In our own browser speed tests, though, we found Opera and Safari to be the champs at loading web pages and rendering JavaScript and CSS templates, respectively. "
