ACTUALLY, even if I do not believe in "god", I can still see scientific evidence for why we exist. I will actually go on record for saying to you that I believe that all forms of life was created by a scientific cause, whether accidental or that probability is still in effect. And no, we didn't just "pop" here. Thats just watering down actual scientific research.

Also, your Need of Speed example and people dressed like cars is not an accurate comparisons to God vs science. Essentially, the Need for Speed example is a blunt lie and the People as cars example is an example of stupid. (stupid the concept, not a description)

And no, it's nothing like saying our ancestors were little atoms in space. More logically, they are some form of energy/matter existing somewhere in the world... of course, this is assuming that energy can never be created, never be destroyed, and never end.

Also, the universe is not infinite. As proof, if the universe was truly infinite, ie, a universe filled with stars, planets, ect... then our skies at night would be so bright and filled with stars, it would be impossible to look up since there are infinite stars sending light waves upon our planet... with that in mind, then of course I do believe that there should be living life forms out in space. They might not resemble anything we consider life on our human-perspective, but they should be out there... the probability is strong.

Oh, and common sense is tossed around all too often these days. What is 'common?' Obviously, stoning people to death, sacrificing chickens and lambs, selling children, and bowing down to what is essentially the greatest imaginary friend in the history of the world is common sense to SOME people, but not to others. Similarly, what you are talking about is moral-sense... not common sense.

Common Sense could easily be the basic necessities of life: food, water, clothing, and shelter... but that's just me. Trust me though, I do have a moral sense of right and wrong, but I would never enforce it on other people... that would violate their freedoms (*cough*religious recruiters*cough*)

Was that some type of cryptic message meant as sarcasm, religious defense for one of them, or some type of philosophical statement?

Actually, we can only see the light from other stars that are from our galaxy, the other galaxies are so far away that the light , a) - hasn't reached us yet, b) - is so minute by the time it reaches us that it is barely visible and c) - is usually obstructed by another planet or hunk of rock or anything, just like a solar eclipse.

maybe but we cannot be sure because there are still more discoveries to be made

true, I was just pointing out that we can't rule out the possibility that the universe is infinite and/or is still expanding.

can we at least rule that if god does exist that the son of a bitch is not a caring loving god

^ I'd say so. I find it funny that none of these "miracles" have happened in the past 2000 years or so, especially in my life :p

no that is the true, take a look at other religions like the one which chinese belive.....there is more then 10 gods / goddess, and then there is ancient rom (or it is greek) which also have multiple gods and goddess, ancient egyption which also have multiple gods.....

so IF god are real and as they claim, there is only one god, then all the religion should be pointing toward the same god.... not having multiple god and thier own version of gods.....

    so true....

and to add some claim that god give us "hard time" is because he wanted to test the "will of human"...in other word god is a sadist.....

Maybe there's 3 gods named Therlh, Gogogo, and BlahBlahBalh. There's a slight possibility they exist, no matter how many gods religion points to there's always a possibility that any number of gods exist. It's the same thing with the existence thread, there's no way we'll know until death, if even then....

    I believe in God.

You dont need to see God to believe him. Thats why you have faith. If you say that you should see God before you believe at Him you better not. Because its like saying you dont have brains because you cant see it right?

What I'm trying to say is. Isnt the book of life (the Bible) says it all? Read it and you will see that all that is happening today had happened in the day where the Bible prescribe it.

As for further proof that God exist. The bible says "seek the kingdom of the lord and all this things shall be added on to you" from the book of matthew. God blesses the people that love him and will feel contented with there life since only God is the one we need.

Dont ask question just believe and you will see and feel that the holly spirit will work slowly. Just becarefull. always remeber that being a Christian or any religion that you may have is to become holy since God is holy

I'm sorry, but there's so many different versions of 'the bible', I don't see what to believe or not. There is just too much scientific proof that we evolved and are still evolving to believe otherwise. By the way, scientists sent a probe to Mars' polar cape to search for life/past life. If we discover there was life on Mars (lol, like the Bowie song) millions of years ago, thats totally going to prove we came from simple organisms and weren't created out of nowhere by some being. I'd say it's a little to late to right that in the bible.

i heard this quote the other day. its very interesting

"i'd rather live me life beiving in god to find out there isn't one then to not belive in god and find out there is one"

i'm stil not putting my faith in to something i'm not sure about but the quote does make a good point

I think there is a greater being, but I don't think he ever set foot on earth, neither that everything has happened because of him. Science has an explanation for almost everything. And for what she hasn't, it is just paranormal, or no one took the time to try and explain it.
