I'm assuming they were made 'choppy' to prevent a large loss of quality for the rotating of the camera system or the zoom-ins for scenes for example (rendered in 3D for angles etc. but 2D in actuality). Wouldn't be intentional.

I don't see what people are complaining about, after playing for a solid 4 hours, I'm pretty hooked, the story is interesting and the graphics, in my opinion, are better than most games. The interesting mix of 2D and 3D in this is quite interesting. That's my view anyway.

When you visit a temple, you normally get a skill and magic spell, but whn you get a new party member, do you have to revisit the temple for your new guy to get the skills?

Later on in battle, the game definitely goes for enemy quantity over quality. Nine enemies a battle and every other enemy has the option of summoning more. I like the elemental system though, when you're on the boat there's more water and wind, when you're underground there's more earth and dark, pretty cool. Also dispatch is the coolest ability ever, and undead is the suckiest.
