I'm pretty sure that last year, there wasn't any snow in Texas.
Also, perhaps it would be a sensible idea to remember that said 'too many scientists' refused to show any actual data from which they are 'proving' global warming and that such data, if it does exist, has been flatly contradicted by the SCIENTISTS who are denying that it is happening.

A common, and quite ignorant, "proof" of there being no global warming. Global warming is just a layman's term being used. The real thing is a global climate change.

The real conspiracy and money making profiteers are in the oil companies. And it's the oil companies that are fueling (haha, pun) the anti-global warming campaigns. By in large the scientific community accepts this global climate change. The few people outside the box that don't are the vast minority. Yet their bits and pieces of research are held up as proof against everyone else.

The only real "maybe" is if this climate change is man-made. It is a fact that humans have dramatically increased the amount of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere. You cannot deny this. Even Global Warming opponents have accepted this CO2 increase. They have moved on now to say that it doesn't mean anything, and hasn't caused the changes.

The real question is: Even if the climate change is not man-made, how does reducing, reusing, and recycling harm the world in any way? Why fight the "green" changes?

The real answer? The Oil companies, and OPEC, don't want to lose the power and money they currently have by having the whole world relying on Oil. If alternative fuels are developed and improved, that means less money for these organizations and people.

So what's the easiest way to stop them from losing power? Try to convince the world that global climate change is a myth and everything is just fine. Keep the status quo.

The eco-friendly projects are really just public relations. What they're doing is riding out the wave of "big oil". making as much profit as they can before being forced to "convert" their companies to renewable fuels. Above all: would THEY trade obscene profit from oil so they can "save the earth"? not a chance.

What the oil companies themselves do under public pressure (and not being able to deny it any longer) is nothing compared to what the government and OPEC continues to do to promote Oil over everything. The anti-global warming groups use scare tactics like "a global conspiracy to lower the quality of living of the western world" as a means to keep the general public in support of continued use of fossil fuels, and continued profit to the oil companies and OPEC nations.

Countries like Dubai know that if the world ever starts to make a huge shift from oil, they can cut production and raise prices of Oil, and issue a crippling blow to the offending countries.

I'm not a green freak. I fill my gas tank of once a week. I burn propane to heat and cook. I have central air in my house. But I also purchase energy efficient devices and keep my house at 65 F during the winter (much lower at night, I can use a blanket to keep warm). What saves energy and reduces my fossil fuel use also saves me money in the long run.

It's pretty damn obvious that the status quo of "consume consume consume" can't work once more countries enter a developed country. But the alternative is bad for oil profits, so those profiting from Oil do not want the status quo to change.

Do you realize that emissions from commercial/military airliners/jets create much more pollution than anything else in the world?

    And cows, don't forget cows.

    (haha, fart joke).

    Lol!

I heard somewhere that a type of extremely common termites (in africa or south america maybe?) produce more pollution than human devices period. That sounds like a bit of a stretch though.

Edit: They release a chemical that is either Co2 or something else idk that pollutes.

Yep... Cows create more of that/(fart) than us humans...
Yes... That is a fact... Though now, I guess we have something to agree on:
ITS PUBLIC TRANSIT FOR GODDAMS SAKE!!! AND DO YOU THINK FIGHTERS AND BOMBERS ARE USED OCCASIONALLY?!
*gasp* *gasp*.... Mind it that fighters+bombers are mostly floating around Iraq and Iran... Pakistan... etc...

Trying to slow down gloabal warming is the only thing we can do, and scientists say the arctics gonna be ice free by 2050, so yeah, Why the Panic?

An ice age would be interesting( Probably not when it actually comes ). It's naturally reoccuring enough to never rule one out I suppose.

Global Warming began when animals walked the earth and it is true but not to the extent people are taking it to. Carbon is whats warming up the planet and yet the planet is not getting warmer. As long as you dont live in the very south Antarctica or the very north nothing extreme will happen because there will not be a big change. Only santa will have to move and polar bears will become extinct which is not good. Penguins will not because 80 percent of penguins live in africa just people believe that they live in antarctica because its in movies

Not only that, but some islands, peninsulas, and cities that are close to the sea will also sink...

i heard that they are going to global warm on purpose if or when we go to mars. they say that global warming on mars will cause grass to grow, water and all that crap. Since it is further away from the sun than earth is temps are lower than earth and global warming will bring them to a earth like temperature like it was thousands of years ago. Im up for ditching earth and going for mars once it was sustainable. only if it wasnt against my religion
