Global Warming - Why the panic?

in nyc, as of 8-6-2009, the summer has been mild. the temperature has been below 80 degrees but sometimes we get something below 85 degrees or days where the moisture levels are high and though the temperature is low the air feels hot due to moist. this mild summer is really good because it's less hot and more manageable. but many people [including the weather forecasters] wanted a blazing summer, that is to say an 85+ degree or rather more like a 90+ degree temperature for the summer. this suggests people do want global warming and i'm glad because i can prove that the idea to stop global warming is just like what the hardcore call the wii, a fad.

how do you know people want global warming due to a desire for hotter summer days? the answer is air conditioning. you see, when the temperature outside goes too hot, people do go outside and do stuff outside. but majority will more likely stay inside using the air conditioning and it's actually advised to stay indoors by the weatherman if temperatures get too hot. if the temperature is hotter, then that means more air conditioning. more air conditioning means more energy. more energy means more pollution. more pollution means more green house effect. more green house effect means more heat.

what i find amusing and entertaining is that the weatherman is actually in support for hotter days. as a weatherman, aren't you suppose to favor the well being of the earth and not the opposite. i watched all local nyc public channels and most support for hotter days. i smirk everytime the weatherman wants hotter days because he doesn't realize that he's supporting pollution.

as of today [8-6-2009], yahoo weather lists the nyc area where i live to be 73-75 degrees. a very wonderful temperature for summer. am i missing something here?

its crazy ! its supposed to be summer here and the its barely sunny anymore !
there hasn't been a whole week where it was all sun ! and its all very abnormal to me !

now to answer the question [Why the panic?]
what you don't realize is that due to human pollution, we are destroying the ozone layer
the ozone layer is the wonderful layer that protects the habitants of Earth from burning to a crisp.
without the ozone layer, it would be impossible to step out to the sun without it hurting
that's not all ! Global warming causes crazy weather. where you'd expect sun, it may snow
like where I live, IT IS THE SUMMER !! and we are getting a huge amount of rainfall AND EVEN HAIL !!
so this means that up North, where all that ice and cold are, it will start to warm up
this then turns the ice to melting ice, to water.
The Earth is 75-something percent water
anymore addition to that amount of water will cause water levels to rise up
water levels rise, less land to occupy
less land, less plants, less housing, etc. etc.
so then, human survival will be in danger !

why the panic? well because, I DONT FEEL LIKE DYING ANYTIME SOON !
I kinda wanna spend more time playing on my DS
it sucks, I know, but we gotta take care of our environment
even just a little can go a long way !
so try your best to help and maybe we'll give ourselves more time to play !

we shouldn't panic, we just have to create slow change on the way we live. radical change screws up everything.

besides, if it's carbon dioxide/monoxide, trees will adapt to carry the burden.

but global warming is actually a natural process and it will cool in time
(the ice age lasted for millions of years before warming up)

What I'm surprise is how some people can live in denial.You tell them what their doing is harming the earth and they'll go "Its just a theory its not proven,not a fact" or worst "So what,everybody is also doing it,nothing happen also"

from what i know its happened before. but then it was alot slower and was followed by the ice age which cooled the earth down. because of us its happening alot faster than its meant to and probaly not in time for the second ice age.

Global warming is the state that the earth is heating up and melting the ice caps. That is really all about it. We can't stop global warming. We can only slow down the process of it.
