Its a highly anticipated game so its no surprise that it gets fixes a lot faster.

 

golden sun was a big release. and still there is no patch for it

 

My game froze at Chapter 5, after the detective picks up the phone Does anyone have this problem too?
I'm using Edge 2.0 with the patched rom

 

I think the game uses a 512KB game save, so older carts that don't support the larger size won't work :/

I can't speak for Edge, but it doesn't crash on other carts (CycloDS, for example) for what it's worth; have you tried playing through the section again? Maybe it was a fluke, and the cart or your microsd came loose or something.

ghost trick and 1.22 update PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hello everyone!!

Im a new member here so I would really apreciate some help. the thing is that right now I have this R4 card: http://stuffyouneed.net/images/R4box.jpg, and not to long like 2 or 3 months ago I downloaded a special updated that wold enable me to play mario and luigi rpg 2 on the ds (since nintedo games are requiered to have a special update so that the rom can work). Now I've been following many step by steps on youtube and threads in general to update my version to ''wood 1.22'' but absolutely nothing seems to work. On top of that, I have plenty of saved games on my ds and since I have a mac, when I try to copy paste my games and saves to my desktop, it gives me an error message. So please someone, I really really really want to play Ghost trick and I need to do the R4 wood 1.22 update and find the right ghost trick rom patched (U). It would be perfect for me that someone could explain every step by step that I have to do to get this right (in other words, someone could please explain this to me like I was a 10 year old lol ''Michael Scott- The office'')

I'm using an R4 SDHC (http://www.r4sdhc.com/r4sdhc.asp) and get a white screen on startup no matter what version I use.

I've played nearly every DS game and Ghost Trick has been the only one that isn't working.

See if YSMenu works on R4 SDHC

No dice - just hangs on the TTMenu loading screen. Lots of people saying it doesn't work.

 

Use your original firmware

Get the stuff from the R4-SDHC_R4i-SDHC TTMenu folder and place onto Root of microSD - Boot up your ds and run YSMenu.nds like a game

If not then replace and try the one from R4_Clone YSMenu

No dice. Just gives r4didl.dat error.

R4 remakes of original can be bought for about £12 of a indoor are out door market and they look like this

Replaced all of the d4didl files I could find, one by one, all at once - still the same error.

The only thing is to seach google for an answer of r4didl problem's

I don't understand as Retrogamefan made it for R4SDHC - But they are so many Diffrent R4 colnes and they all have there own problems of each

Are buy and R4 original if you are using DS - DSlite, If you are in the UK i do see them around markets - selling mobile phone parts est - WoodR4 and YSmenu work grate on them

 

I guess that's the only choice right now - but if I'm going to buy another brewcart just for one game I may as well just buy Ghost Trick because I'll be waiting for delivery anyway.

Just interesting that only GT doesn't work

How to Patch

1. Download Clean USA Ghost Trick - Phantom Detective Rom
2. Download which patch you want, RetroGameFan's or SUXXORS, they have the exact same patch.
3. Open xdeltaUI.exe
4. Select your patch file (the .xdelta file)
5. For source file, select the clean ghost trick rom
6. For output file, select where you want the patch file to go, and make sure to give it the .nds extention.
7. Wait for patch...
8. Enjoy

Stop saying useless information

 

it is not useless, clones do need the original firmware besides ysmenu. or else ysmenu wont work
