Do you think a patch will come out before a Cyclods firmware update?

 

How often is the CycloDS firmware updated? If I knew that, I'd be able to tell you.

No, it doesn't, but it looks quite easy to mess up.

 

I can confirm that the hex edit fix works on CycloDS 1.61. Text displays properly.

Ten minutes. I make no promises that it will work for you or that I patched it 100% successfully without screwing up, all I can say is that it works for me and displays text properly, now.

Now that a fix was mentioned, we better have a fixed ROM uploaded soon or some weaboo/computer challenged person will be coming on here complaining that he broke his ROM trying to hex edit it and asking for a pre-edited ROM.

I'll try to get a ROM uploaded, but my upload times are crap.

 

Well I went by what the tutorial says,but I guess I screwed up because it wont load up.Fuck.

 

Oh my goodness, the Hex fixed worked (Wood R4 1.20 R4 Original)! And I'm terrible at this sort of thing.

If I can do it, all of you can.

 

Just to clear things up, is there a good soul that is trying to upload a patched rom, or i'll need to hex edit myself ?

Could you explain exactly what you did? I've never heard of a hex editor until just now (been lurking, sorry ), so the program is a little overwhelming at the moment.
