It'll probably come to pass one day that we'll be genetically enhanced humans, eating genetically enhanced food, breathing genetically enhanced air, no matter what current popular opinion is. Things that are truly beneficial to man have a way of coming through eventually. Just like our current understanding of the solar system.
I am not sure if i will support the "Genetically Enhanced Humans " idea, it might trigger something bad to the human era.
You'll be surprised but.The humans now in the 21st Century are genetically enhanced.Vitamin Tablets,Food Supplyment and alot more including vigras make us genetically enhanced than the previous generation
How about this list of immunisations: BCG against Tuberculosis Oral Sabin against Diphtheria, Pertussis & Tetanus Poliomyelitis MMR against Measles, Mumps & Rubella Unlike all generation which are futile to these diseases but now we are genetically more vulnerable against the diseases.
But then, if we are currently using medicine as a way to enhance our immunization, wouldn't our bodies further get used to the fact that we can "Spoil it" and it will then grow more dependent on the medicine we use nowadays? If we continue to do things like say, washing our hands? Our bodies will be spoiled to adapt to that situation and it will grow entirely dependent on soap to rid the body of bacteria. This concludes that medication is already genetic engineering.
Medicine, as loony said, does nothing on a genetic level, it can help us make up for genetic vulnerabilities that we might have but it doesnt alter our DNA whatsoever, if it did then you would only ever have to take a medicine once. I dont know about enhanced, but a few people these days are being born without an appendix, this is simply genetic enhancement via evolution. Ill have to dig around to find my essay on pros and cons of genetic engineering, though I doubt many of you would actually read through the 34 pages lol.
Two factors why Almo is right: 1. We won't be able to truly fly even if we had wings is the fact that our bones are a bit heavy. We evolved that way because our bones must be able to support the weight of our body's total mass. In order for us to be able to fly our wings must have a very lengthy wingspan (more than what Angels have as they're depicted on paintings & such). Our whole skeletal framework then has to become lighter so we can take off easily & we have less weight to support flight. 2. Actually we could have no problems flying if we only had more oxygen in the air like during prehistoric times. One reason the Dinosaurs were able to grow to such enourmous sizes was because the atmosphere then was abundant in oxygen. We need lots of oxygen so we can burn enough energy to power flight, if we can't resolve reason one, the need for a lighter skeletal framework.
in other words humans glide now but straight down, so if we had wings it will still be the same just a lil bit of a deffrence to a other direction. LOL, i want a tail like Kid Goku, Raditz, Nappa, turles, bardock.
