Well, I hope they release an AR code that deletes Badges so that freezes don't occur so often!

what does removing badges do?

 

In a lot of other threads, there are a lot of people who encounter LOTS of crashes and freezes after obtaining the 3rd -4th gym bag.

In some post in the forum, someone described that the game follows an event cycle meaning that more badges = more freezing/crashing.
^ That was my understanding (I'm not so good with this stuff!).

So basically, the AR code will remove badges from your game so that the frequent freezing would minimize -- freezing STILL occurs but not at an often rate.

The downside of this is of course:
1. Badges allow pokemon under a certain range of levels obey you.
2. Badges allow the user to use HM moves out of battle. Ex: Surf, Fly

Basically, it will be troublesome since you might not be able to go all the way through the game without HMs if these AR codes are used...

what exactly does no$zoomer do?

 

like what its name says, enables zooming of the ds screen. it also fixes a lot of issues that other games had trouble with no$gba alone, like the text issues in FF IV for example.

Just to clarify:
Even if No$Zoomer is used with No$GBA, crashes/freezes will still be experienced.
Also, it will be almost unplayable when you reach the fourth gym.

 

yeah just tried but im gonna try the after you save close/restart the emulator and see how that works

 

I've always done that, but it's impossible to save/load after obtaining the third badge.

Just have to wait and hope for the AP patch.
Nintendo will lose... Hopefully!

 

That's strange...I am using No$GBA 2.6a and No$Zoomer and I just caught lugia with 8 badges. I haven't noticed the freezing getting any worse.

What are your settings for your emulator?
Ex: GBA Cartridge Backup Media
NDS Cartridge Backup Media
etc.

 

some people said that after you get around 7 badges the freezing 'rate' goes back to before getting the 4th badge

 

I wonder how the made it through the 5th and 6th gym o.o

 

Same here. I've almost beaten the game with minimal problems.
