[FIX] Fixed Heart Gold (U) (No$)

Just patch the ROM and use the Firmware fix, no random freezing or black screen anymore. Can't say the same if you're not using the Firmware and the Bios

I play using the Bios/Firmware fix.
But the game crashed a couple of times and I lost my save. What can I do to fix/prevent this?

Save and store a copy of the save? Save and restart the emu?

 

Save and then restart the emulator.
With this, the recent saves will be updated to your save file.

Try using both the Firmware fix and the Universal Child's Patch, you wont need to use the AR codes anymore and you'll get no crashes as well i've already tested this.

 

yeah i downloaded the prepatched rom and already have the firmware and the bios ^^ just telling the people here that the rudolph universal child's play patch v2 fix (i can't remember the correct term since its so long but its close to this i think lol) for HG/SS seems to have completely fixed the AP problem for us no$gba users

 

Hi I have beaten all the gyms in jhoto but now the game is kinda laggy and the lag increases if i stay at one screen too long. Anyone know how to fix thanks?

 

i'm playing SS in no$gba. since the game crashes every now and then, i close the emulator after saving since if it crashes then i'm back to my save file before opening the emu. I was able to successfully save after completing the Ecruteak gym. when i opened the game later it crashes at startup.

will i still be able to use my sav file for other emulators?? is there a fix for the freezing game problem? how come the game still crashes sometimes when you save? I hope i'll be able to play both sshg in nocash again.

I tried playing SS in desmume and it looks like crap. i'm sticking with nocash.

The reason why the the game looks like a crap on DeSmuMe is,
because you need a good computer to play it.

 

but it looks fine in nocashgba!

 

except that it slows down like hell when accessing the pkmn storage aka bill's pc and when you're playing games at the pokeathlon dome :| oh and also after a while of playing w/ the slot machine at the game corner

 

It mabe possible to fix the freeze if we can catch the part that freezes

This is the part where the Game goes into blank screen but you can still hear the game music

Red 1, Blankscreen hear music , Brake the game at that point , you will see the game braked at offset 020DE164
Black 2 , The offset we are after is 020DE16C witch is not far of from where the game braked
Black 3 , But the hex is written backwards to the top part A1FFFFFC - the bottom offset is normal at FCFFFFA1

This is the part that gets the game running from the black screen

Red 2, The hex shown backwards at the top
Blue 3, Where you need to wright in the new code E1A00000
Purple 4, Run your game and the black screen disappears , and your game is ruining

(Note) On the bottom screen you need to manuly search for the offset thats on the top screen, Click right and Goto, then type in offset at the bottom screen

This might come in handy for finding over codes in this way...

the part after you beat ecruteak gym crashes a lot. I can still save after the fight but after closing cash and loading the game again it'll crash. I mean you can open the rom but if you load your last game it just crashes. so i'm just stuck at the part before fighting Morty. still have the sav with me.

I cant seem to get playable speed in the pokethlon.... changing to realtime*2,Auto also doesnt work.. everything else is fine tho.. just need the water stone X.X
