    Try using the no$zoomer.
Download it from here, if you haven't.

Just beat the 3rd gym... As happy as I was, when I tried to save this happened 'Rom Image has Crashed'... Looks like all we can do is wait for a patch and if we even get a patch... Looks like Nintendo is winning... Best thing to do is to probably play without saving and hope the game doesn't freeze or crash throughout.

Are you all playing the US version or the pre-patched Japanese one?

US version. What do you do with the bios file once you download it? I'm new here, sorry

Put it on the no$gba folder.
After that, run the emulator and play SS/HG.
Just after you run the game(HG/SS), press the F11 button on your keyboard(when the screen is still white).
Change the Reset/Startup Entrypoint to GBA Bios(Nintendo Logo) and then press Ok.

Reset the emulator, or press * on keyboard.

The game should run from bios now.

You should know where it is located.
Since you're the one who extracted it.

Search if you forgot where you put it.

Doesn't this make the rom-image crash when you save?

    Pokemon Heart Gold NTSC-U Repack.nds
    Pokemon Heart Gold NTSC-U Repack.SAV
This error makes no sense. As I said, if I take out the SAV file from the battery folder, the error is gone, game works fine except I have to play it frm the start again as it doesnt like my save file for osme reason... ;(

im using this "fix" and i had to use an action replay cheat code to zero out the game time every 20 min in order for it to save now that doesnt even work since i cleared the 3rd gym i think the action counter is still going cant some one just make a cheat code to clear this

I just save really often I haven't had a crash in about 2 or 3 days I like using the bios more it was a pain in the but to keep on enabling the action replay code that prevents the black screen from showing up fscrivy all I can tell you is to save often and exit the emulator then open it again I got 16 badges just by doing this.

I haven't got that problem.. yet.
Even if this happen, switch to the AR codes method.

@Tencros : If that's the case, maybe you need to play it from the start.

@fscrivy : Delete your NO$GBA.ini file in your no$gba folder.
