i actually quite enjoyed ffX (particularly loved the aeons... and Lulu XD), X-2 wasn't as good (though having the different dresspheres was cool) - I like using strategy more than "hey lets just mash the x button!" although that can be fun too (like in Chrystal Chronicles, Rings of Fate - though technically that was the a button) XD I also played XII Revenant Wings (on DS) and while its ok, its certainly no where near the best of the series - probably among the worst I've played... I'd like to play more from the FF series - especially VII (I've seen the movie though, it was pretty good) and crisis core on PSP (I don't have a PSP but my friend does and I watched him play it ... not fair) and I'd also like to play VIII and IX - I've heard that both are good.
Yeah. Final fantasy is such a great series, but i'd have to say out of all, Final fantasy IV was the best; it had a great story line and even though it was partially about love and romance it was quite interesting. as well as Final fantasy VIII. I'd play Final Fantasy XII but i wouldn't really get fixed into it and play it all day kinda thing, when i found out there was no turn based action in the game i thought it would be a little interesting but when i gave it a go it didn't turn out to be what i expected. The Final Fantasy Chronicles series i have to say i love ( for the DS that is ). Rpging with another friend whilst beating down monsters and running through mazes is what i call absolute amazing fun! Especially the mini quests that the king gives you, its addicting!
my favorite final fantasy was Final Fantasy 7 because i am really addicted with Cloud Strife. If you played Kingdom hearts 2 (playstation 2), you will encounter Sephoroth as an optional boss, i beat the hell out of him but i gotta admit he was hard. Then you get to fight with cloud too but this time noy just him but four characters from the final fantasy 7 all at the same time and oh by the it requires for you to take the 50 match of enemies before you got to fight them. ;D
My friend (a girl) is obsessed with Cloud and wants to marry him and have his babies (obsession is good ... but not when you're that obsessed ><) Another thing. Sephiroth is also an optional boss in KH1 if you go to the colosseum - and yes he is damn hard to beat, took me ages. i dont mean to nitpick as they say, but wouldnt it have just been easier to name the games that were "a bit lacking" and then say you loved the rest? because it seems you've named the majority of the games in your "loved" list. (ignore that, i'm just bored.)
FF 7 for me was the greatest of the lot. It had perfect story, fighting, magic system. I loved the limit breaks and the characters had so much depth. FF 9 comes close though. Wow, that was a fantastic game. The learning of skills from weapons and armor was really a great idea. The story line was awesome and the return to "fantasy" setting was also pretty good. Third on the list for me was FF 8. Very underrated game in my opinion. It felt the most realistic so to speak. It was pretty complex, true, but that was an interesting touch that I am sure kept hardcore FF fanatics interested. I really enjoyed this game. All the other FF games were great but not as good as the ones I mentioned. I felt that FF 10 was somewhat of a decline from the quality of its predecessors and it was too linear for my liking, but it was still a good game. FF 12 revived the series I think. The new battle system was great and the game was HUGE. It was fun and I loved the whole feel of it. I'm also a fan of the Tactics spin-offs too. On the other hand FF 10-2 was kinda annoying. It was the lowest point of the series in my opinion. Not that it wasn't a little fun but it was not a true FF style game. I also never got the chance to play FF 11 so can't comment on that. I'm still a huge fan and always will be. Cannot wait to play FF 13.
Final Fantasy 7 is my favorite closely followed by 6 (for all round greatness), 8 (for the fantastic story), 4 (for the difficulty) and 12 ( for the graphics). The only problem i have with the series is that some are a bit too easy (7, 8 and crisis core). However I have recently been replaying final fantasy tactics thanks to a site i came across with a hack that increases the difficulty tenfold ;D Also is 4's difficulty retained on the DS remake?
My favorite is ff7 second is ff10 What about ff5? That's quite difficult, especially to level up. I think ff12 isn't too easy after all, too.
I didnt really like 5 but i thought the difficulty was about average as long as you didnt use any exploits
well ive beat 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, X, and tactics. IMO their all great but i do agree that the newer u get the more they lack in workmanship. i loved them all and tactics, 7, and 6 were great but wth was that crap they called tactics for the gba? it was completely screwed up. switching the job points to judge points? anyway, is their any others that are genuinely worth taking the time to beat?
I love'd FFXII it was better then VII in my opinion but wasn't as good as VI in my view. At least sqaure was trying something new and I respect that. So please give XII some slack not for me not for square not for you're self but for the guys who might buy it.
i completely agree. VII is an excellent game thats totally worth the money if u can even find an original copy. doubt it though. so everyone thank romulation for bringin us all the greatest games within reach of your fingertips.
You're telling me you can't find a copy of FF7 ?? Even though about 10 million copies were sold?? I suggest you look a bit harder...
i havnt seen one since i owned it when i was 12. and even then it was a greatest hits version. (i.e. already a reprint so to say.) i use an emulator so i dont have the need for a copy.
