You think they will re do the game for the console version? If they dont then they are screwed.

I edited my post to add some info about that. The PS3 and PC versions interact online, they are the same game, just different platforms, PS3 players play with PC players. So the games cannot be different. But since it is an online game, Version updates come out all the time.

But they cant just fix the some of the things wrong with this game. What im hearing about are some major mechanic issues and other in game issues.

The game is completely online, and is completely customizable on their end with version updates. They can fix/change anything they wish to.
Just look at how much FFXI has changed since it's release in May, 2002. Over Eight years later, it's very different. Four expansion packs, handfuls of downloaded expansions, untold number of updates changing game mechanics, etc.

I have never played it. But it would take up loads of space if the had to change all that with pure updates.

Over the years I played, my FFXI folder is currently 10GB. I have all four of the full expansions, and I don't have the latest downloaded expansions (I think there are 7 or so of them).
You realize that when something changes it can/will overwrite the old stuff not used anymore, right?

I think other users have said their FFXI folder is 11GB. Not "loads" by any sense of the word for today's games. Dragon Age for the PC is 15.7GB on my computer, and I don't have the expansions. Mass Effect is 10GB.

The BETA version of FFXIV was only about 2GB.

10 gigs is still alot just for one game on a console. But i have the Ps3 fat. its 80g.

Well "normally" you don't fully play more than one or two online games anyway.
So 11gbs out of 80 isn't that big.

It doesnt matter if your playing it online or not, it will still take up space whether you play it or not. I know where you are going with this. You also cannot just delete it and keep the save files either, because you would spend 10 years redownloading all the content you had.

Well I have no idea how the whole Xbox and Ps3 internal HD stuff works.
For me and my Xbox, the 60gb HD is just a LolwTf-Size memory card.

And my point was. If you like to play MMoRPGs seriously, you rarely find time to play more than one.
Inded, sometimes you feel like changing game just to do something diferentt. But grinding is already painfull enough for a single game, playing multiple MMoRPGs is impossible.

The HDD on a PS3 is easily upgraded. And 10/80 isn't bad, I have more than that in worthless Demos and stuff I've downloaded from PSN. And with the new models having 200+GB, it's a drop in the bucket.

You seem hell bent on finding a fault in anything doing with the game, even after admitting your own ignorance on the two FF MMOs. Even going as far as to pick apart the fact that you have to install it on your console. (How horrible!)

At this point, it's seems as if I'd be better off just rolling my eyes and walking away. :)

LOL, I didnt mean it like that, i was just saying that if its crap then what would be the point of having it. I hear very good things about the first one. I really really really want to like it.

Wow, they are selling it for $150 in Singapore. Thats a bit high for a game the internet is calling a disgrace. Reviews range from 2-4/10, highest is 5.5/10.
