    Hi,

Here is another example; I quickly started then aborted a .bin/.cue operation in Magic ISO; the game is Lunar: Silver Star Story (NTSC/J)

    FILE "SLPS_013-97.BIN" BINARY
    REM SESSION 01
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    TRACK 02 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 51:32:68
    TRACK 03 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 54:01:40

Now, this is what the disc structure would look like if it were burned in Mode 2 & had several audio files on the disc. Here is the .cue file (done via the same method) for the PAL version of Final Fantasy IX (Note: it's not the same as the US version...)

    FILE "SLES_029.65.BIN" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

Yes, many will note that the PAL version of FFIX was copy protected. I pulled out my working PAL backup of FFIX that I made back in the day, to see it there were any discernable differences. Here's the .cue below:

    FILE "SLES_029.65.BIN" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

Identical, besides the obvious addition of the Paradox patch, applied waaaaaaaaay back in the day. Well, if changing the .cue proved unsuccessful for the people who have downloaded the rom image, I'd say case closed; up to staff now whether they wish to re-upload the rom or not.

    Thanks posters.

    tried changing the .cue file...
now i can mount it on daemon...
    but it still doesn't work...
maybe now it's a video problem...but i don't have the motivation to play with the setting...
i will assume it really is a bad ROM...and wait for people to say they succeeded or uploaded the fixed ROM...
