like i said before, the gambits system was amazing. with just 5 gambit slots filled, you can kill bosses without being there. and i hated balthier gameplay wise. he always did the least amount of damage. i didn't think the characters were all that special either. i had no idea that the story revolved around ashe and not vaan until i got my 4th summon.
Amazing yeah, easy to kill enemies yeah, but not good against strong marks, such as this powerful dragon called Yiamat. Took me so bloody long to beat it. I still haven't beaten the strongest one in that locked tower, which you have to get the key in the plains somewhere. Penelope was the weakest for me, Basch was the best.
I found it easy to level in 12, because as I just got done with the main storyline, most of my characters were level 80ish.
I didn't like either X or XII, they were both very weak in story IMO, the last truly great FF game was IX which was made in 99-2000 ? It's been a long time since S/E has put out a great RPG
Hmm... I'd say FFX, I loved the gameplay and the story, it truly made me enjoy it all. As for XII, it was pretty annoying, always "i'm a Sky Pirate", "bla bla bla"... Vaan was like one of those chatty homo's (no offense to homo's intended), his clothes were stupid too. I didn't complete it. And cremeeggking, TWEWY is an rpg by them.
FFXII was okay but it just didn't make sense somehow your enemies could attack you when there was a huge gap from you ! In my view IX was the best I dont care what they says VII was not that great.
