Come on guys, don't knock it before you have tried it, they have probably read all the complaints and fixed things.

Its not available in my local store for preorder yet, and not on asda or tesco websites(these are always cheapest). Maybe they haven't shipped it yet or confirmed it?
I hope its not delayed at all, I doubt it, I think im just excited and thinking crap.

Obsidian is made up of some of the guys from Black Isles/Interplay, the original developers or Fallout 1 and 2.
While the license is in Bethesda's hand, Fallout: New Vegas is being made by Obsidian.

The thing is, Obsidian, while having experience with the Fallout franchise, doesn't have a very good track record. They have the best writer in the industry though, Chris Avellone.
I hope they fix the buggy Bethesda engine and all will be great.

What I want is major graphical increment for the PC version from the console versions, not just better texture and resolution and more AA like most multi-platform. Because I know the latest PC hardware with Dx11 can do so much more than just extra AA.

That said, the PC version of Fallout3 is largely different when it comes to draw distance and that adds immersion.
Oblivion as well, but even those are not major, not like Metro 2033 where the PC version with capable hardware looks far beyond the already good-looking 360 version.

The improvement from 360 to PC in ME2 is only resolution.

Are there any minimum requirements out yet?
    Post Merge: [time]1286038957[/time]
The games system requirements have also been revealed: A dual-core 2.0GHz CPU, 2 GB of RAM, and either a NVIDIA GeForce 6 series or an ATI 1300 XT series video card will be the bare minimum required to play.

Pretty much the same like most PC games of today. I hope they have options for Dx11 though.

Yes it looks just normal, I wouldn't expect anything outstanding.
Are they just using the same engine?

allkratos, why are you putting so much importance on graphics? it just seems to be a very shallow way of gaming.

Not really, gameplay and polish comes first but having a good graphics doesn't hurt.
Especially open world games where immersion is one of the main aspects and graphics does help.

I hope that they're not using same engine, it's a shot in the own foot.
Customers have complained Bethesda alot cuz the already-know bugs, so I gues they did a polishment in it.
    And these requeriments...
Try getting a better PC, Grand Theft Auto IV was told to run in a Geforce 7900 GS, but is crap in a 8800GT, just for example.
And in order to run games in DirectX11 must have a Nvidia Geforce 400 series, otherwise you ain't gonna be able to see any further than DX10.
The cost x benefit is a GTX 460 and HD 5870 here.

GTA4 isn't optimized, Rockstar got lazy there but it does look much better than the console versions.

Ive been looking to see if its the same engine and can't find anything but found this.
It says on wikipedia the game was written by John Gonzalez.
I know wikipedia can be wrong though.

Some good new for you though, he's the senior designer.
1.1.7 Any familiar names working on this title?
A number of developers from Black Isle Studio left to form Obsidian in 2003, and quite a few familiar faces remain to work on this title. Lead designer J.E. Sawyer was last seen - to Fallout fans - working on BIS' Fallout 3 iteration, Van Buren. Chris Avellone, designer who worked on Fallout 2 and created New Reno, is senior designer on the game. Scott Everts, (senior) technical designer on Fallout and Fallout 2, is a designer on this game.

Yes I think they would be telling us all the time if they had a new engine.
