Ah ok, i tought that was the code i need to put in the extinfo.dat to make my game work

 

All abouth was for the infolib.dat speedup and boot code , but it was off abit sine the game did not load correctly!

It's possible to get the most of the code needed for the extinfo.dat file from the patched rom , but if it has the funny screen at first the whole sturctor of the codes would have bean changed and hard to compare the bouth ROMs with a hex-editor like HexCmp - if its a clean patch for just the fixes alone then it would be easy to work out

ROM offset 0x00004000

RAM offset 0x02000000

So if in ROM offset 0x000049A0

It would be in RAM 0x020009A0

extinfo.dat uses RAM 0ffset's

That's the diffrence

But the infolib.dat file will have to be fixed at that one part 68 48 00 00 mabe to EC 4C 00 00 - are mabe 48 is C9

so is there a fix for the random freezing on the clean rom dump, or is everyone still working on this

 

I'm using Acekard 2i, AKAIO Firmware 1.6RC2

It freezes sometimes. Specifically when I used the sleep move on the Ninja, but only sometimes. I haven't found the exact conditions of when it freezes, but the fact is that it does and that there is no white screen.

 

Hello everybody

I have an R4 using the latest Ysmenu the one that makes Dragon quest IX playable. Is there gonna be a patch or an firmware update for this game? this is a really challenging game, we wish to play it.

 

R4 with YSmenu cant even load the game. Need to switch to Wood R4, thats what im going to do.

 

Damn! I was hopping i didnt have to change firmware...
If i install the latest wood R4 i can still play games like dragon quest IX, kingdom hearts, pokemon and most importantly etrian odyssey III?
Ysmenu is dead or Wood R4 is better in all ways? if so how its better than Ysmenu?

 

Ysmenu will get updated, every so often - just infolib.dat , savelib.dat , extinfo.dat are that main files that fix roms

Somehow i think this game is cut off half way as they is a crash with the emulator , and It's filled with 0's

Mmmm so we have to wait for those guys to fix the game... well they do a great job helping us playing these awesome game's!! the wait will be worth it!!
And what about the R4 wood? it make the game 100% playable or it have problem's as well?

 

r4 wood 1.13 does not work, random battle freezes, skill freezes, and sail freezes. Pretty much the same with most cards out there which does not work. No fix yet. Continue to wait please. Lol

 

Yeah, I dint want to use Wood R4. Been using YSmenu for a long time now. Anyway, the clean ROM is 64mb.

 

32Mb is the bad dump of the game.

(Note) Be aware of the 32MB Bad Dump release , If your's is 32mb delete it and get a clean Dump at 64mb - it will cause the game to Crach in half way though playing it on the no$gba 2.6a

They is no AP fix at the moment...

 

We have pretty much established that the 32mb is a bad rom like.. ages ago.
Have people been sleeping under a rock?

Anyways, no ap fix yet. Rather play it on DS than on emulators.
More waiting people.

 

I must have lol!,

It tends to run nice with the encrypted rom , and no$gba 2.6a with GBA BIOS (nintendo logo) enabled in the no$gba settings!

 

I remember Dragon quest IX got a fix almost instantly what a shame this game doesn't, have to wait then...

 

so far im using akaio v.1.7.1 and have no problems...
