Dependency is true especially speaking for myself I went through a time when I felt I just had to have them and I would drink like 3-4 a day while I was working. For the most part its just a big marketing scam for these drink companies to make some money. this may be contradiction of past things I posted, but these days I just drink them for the taste and thats maybe 1 or 2 a week if that, I've noticed if I drink to many I get in a terrible near violent moods, noticed that real quick after trying an espresso for the first time, but I think thats just some kind of chemical imbalance.

mds64 and Mikiie are right. It's good to look at (meh) and promises fake energy, people really believe that this is the correct answer, kupo.

Drinking energy drinks in the long term is bad for you too,
The drinks only provide short burts of energy and then people become dependant on them.
I think that they can give you heart problems and stuff if you keeps drinking loads of them each day in the long term.
You're better off getting sufficient energy from food!

it has the same effect on your liver that achohol does. (i think its the liver)
it would have a bigger effect on children than adults. children would get hyperactive for like the next 15 hour (i counldn't sleep at all) but adults.... i wouldn't know im not one.

I've drank a Monster energy drink and then took a nap before, then other times it can make you absolutely wired and shaky.

It's best just to avoid them. But I'll have to say, I LOVE the taste of the green Monster drink. Wish they made something that tasted just like it, but didn't have all the caffeine and sugar.

Energy drinks dont seem to affect me(energy wise) but I like them anyway

  8. Energy drinks don't work on me I can drink 100 (literary) and still feel the same. They (the energy drinks) do not give ANY effects I might as well drink water instead.

Energy drinks are like the trend now.
    Everyone drinks them.
Even like 11 year old kids.

They worked on me. I remember when I had a massive assignment due. I just drank coffee and those drinks for two days and stayed up. I crashed like hell though.

A*, though, so who cares =3

I'll stick to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephedra banned in the US now(look up bitter orange), but much less toxic than caffeine or amphetamine, of course it will still kill you if you take too much.

Caffeine should have an age restriction, even if it's just 13. I'm physically and psychologically addicted to caffeine and not once was I warned about the dangers of the drug in school. I was told that drunk driving is bad and that smoking cannabis will lead to me killing my parents with a dull knife, but when it comes to a drug that it addictive, unhealthy, and technically lethal, it's essentially encouraged.

It's a fucked up world we live in folks. Just because the effects of a drug aren't overwhelming mentally doesn't mean they're fine for you. Ask Mr. Methamphetamine, he'll tell you.

i think it just suggestion... when you drink energy drinks.. you think that it will give you more power, as force your brain to think so, than your brain is also force your body to develop more energy... hehe.. CMIIW...

well, i can easily not sleep at night for two days without any coffee or any energy drink... it the power of will you know.... when i want to stay awake than i'll stay awake.....

...wow A self confessed addict, never thought I'd see...

Well sadly, 13 is hard to monitor...I could say 16 (as they make cards for proof of age here) but even then not everyone get's one....

I so wish that they could do something about 13yr's going nutz over this stuff though :(
