i think that is the name of the machine that use to simulate big bang in a very small scale......

Not exactly, it is being used to simulate conditions immediately after the big bang, as well as other sub-atomic physics experiments.

This experiment could be a big setback on the old theory or a big step forward, the religious nobheads will laugh if the old theory is proved wrong even though they have no proof at all for their lame books ::)

After this Big bang experiment there going to use the LHC to find new chemical elements. That means more stuff on the periodic table

I feel bad for every future Chemistry student, more elements to memorize!

Any teacher that expects you to remember all 114 elements needs their head examining.

I wonder if i'll have to retake my exams because of this... :'(

i cant even remember 10 of them...... i drop the subject and goto art instead.

I haven't read all of the periodic table, I have a low attention span, as soon as the bell rang I sprinted out the room ;D

I've heard they broke their little toy already. ???

Something with a powerline between two magnets

Yes they have, they melted the magnet and it will take a few months to fix, they say it will delay them a year or two ???
And, it's not too hard to remember all of the elements, it's the information that's with them that is hard.

Listen to this song, it's really funny. My teacher played it when i was in year 7. Really catchy.

    Haha, great. :D

spending millions to build a machine only to wreck it in a few days

Only just joined, but, this is my theory on the cr*p
about Black holes. It's the religious fundementalists who are most scared and spreading these rumours because if the experiment suceeds in creating the after effects of the Big Bang it will prove that the world was not created by any god of any religion, bye bye to that nice little earner for the evangelist, priests and so on.
