You don't need to use Daemon Tools to play it,
as the emulator itself can run the ISO.

If what Tirith have suggested is still not working...
Here's what I suggest you to do..
    - Download a fresh copy of ePSXe 1.7.0, as well all the Plugins(check Tirith signature, I'm sure there are links for both emulator and plugins, forgive me if I'm mistaken)
    - After that, make a new folder on desktop, "ePSXe 1.7.0"
    - Extract all the epsxe files(winrar) to the folder(ePSXe 1.7.0), or install it to the folder(if using installer)
    - and then Extract/install all plugins files to the "plugins" folder in ePSXe 1.7.0 folder.
    - don't forget to put the bios files into the "bios" folder
    - Run the emulator, configure all the Plugins, Bios(Scph1001.bin), Controller, etc.. etc..
    - and then go to Config --> Memory Cards
    - Click "select" button, and then locate the memory card folder in 'ePSXe 1.7.0' folder.
    - Run your game, and check whether the memory card is working or not.

You have to google for that one.
Just type "Scph1001.bin" or "PSX bios", and then search it.

i tried everything that you said, but I'm still not able to save my game :S
but one thing i noticed, when i pressed "f1" for a save state and then exited the emulator on the CMD windoe it was written "WARNING: the memory card has not been saved on the disk" ????
could this be the problem ?

    Read this.

Maybe your memcard is in "read only mode"?

    There's this program called ePSXecutor.
Using this you can crate a new memory card file to use.

alright i downloaded PSXeven 0.19, and it's working fine I'm finally able to save.
BUT the graphics are a bit blurry and i can't seem to change it in the configuration menu since on a site it was mentioned that there is no way to make those graphics better. i heard there are some graphics plugins for this software which enables the user to play the game in OPENGL mode (if I'm not wrong).which eventually makes the graphics better
can some one please tell me the link and how to install it on my emulator?
    cheers
