    The .gbc ROM file. Drag and drop onto the emulator executable.

    I see battery saves, save states, and a screenshots folder. Should I make a folder called "Save"?

    Actually, VBA by default doesn't make those folders (unless that's just specific to the Mac version), when you save, it will create a .sav or .sgm file in the same folder (with same name as ROM).

    Yes, the emulator.

    Also, please do not double post, if you have something to add, just click Modify at the bottom right corner of your post.

    So, do I need to make a save folder in VBA? What should I call it then?

    Alright I'll try dropping it in the emu. However, I don't think it will let me. I just run the thing and open the game file.

    Sorry about the double post....

    No, just try either dragging the ROM onto VBA, or of course loading it with VBA.

    I load it with the VBA and it runs, but I still get;

    Error creating file Battery Saves/Pokemon - Crystal Version (UE) (V1.0) [C][!].sav

    message. I have a Battery Saves file so I don't know what's going on.

    EDIT: Do you think I need that Bios thing?

    EDIT!

    I got it working! I first redownloaded VBA. Then I moved the file to where I was keeping the roms. I don't know what fixed it exactly, but it will save properly now!
