I own a DSi XL and love it. But it's pricetag and its lack of any new features other than a big screen is not worth it really. The 3DS is going to be more expensive than what the DS/DSi/DSi XL was, so I recommend investing for a 3DS instead.

Yes it is. You can get great titles on it like Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter, The Sims..... Just to name a few. And it is 3-D!!!
Ugh, I have enough money for iPod Touch + DSi XL and probably also for the 3DS...no problem for me I hope they get virtual console games on it, along with 3DSWare (lol).
To be honest I'm so not worried anything being in 3D. It's a nice added feature but, I don't really care for it. I just want to be able to play my games on new console.
