Doom DS

if u have dsdoom version 1.1.2,then the doom.wad goes to the root of the card together with the prboom file,or if u are using the version 1.1.2a :
Step1"
Patch the data/dsdoom/dsdoom.nds with your DLDI patcher.

Step2:
put the "data" folder in your root directory. otherwise it won't work

Wad installation:
it's easy just put the designated wads in they're proper folders

 

I'm guessing you can't use a file uploading service like rapid share then


Also, the doom.wad file should already have .wad in it's name (some pc's don't show the file extension...just to avoid confusion)

 

i prefer dsdoom version 1.1.2a because i can play doom wads without needing to change the wad name in order to make it work
,but i am waiting for the release of dsdoom 1.1.3 that fanadicalcowhead is working on!the version 1.1.3 will be compatible with all doom wads!

I know whatever one I got, doom 1, 2 and ultimate work.

 

there isnt only 3 doom.wads inthe world!there are millions of doom.wads that do not work with dsdoom!such as the original doom64.wad for the pc,the doom64-2 the rising doesnt work to!
the doom64.wad version i have is a modified version with diferent levels,the doom64.wad that works with the psp is the is the modified version of doom64.wad!dsdoom1.1.2a is only compatible with prboom!

alright, cool thanks for the help...also I think your instructions will help others as well new to .WAD files.

 

A friend of me has actually bought the first Doom, so he'll look if he can copy it me and send me.

Also, one question on Doom 2 (I guess opening a whole thread for this wouldn't be necessary): I cannot get through the window on the second level! I watched all walkthroughs, LP's etc., but I just can't get through it! Help D:

Also, save function doesn't see to work.

Anyways, I found a working full version .wad of The Ultimate Doom.
Only problem left: I cannot save. "Save Game Failed" pops up once I try to save it. Its not a problem with the game, already tried it out with GzDoom.
