I tried playing it and ended up getting bored with it after 10 minutes. It was all the same.

Since the first game. There were still jokes. Larry Butz made it more silly.

You make it sound like a bad thing.

A story being darker isn't bad at all.

The games per se are good, seeing as you have to use deductive reasoning to really figure out who did it & not just blame it on the butler. And oh yeah, for those of you too young to even know of it, the "The Butler did it" was a 70's~80's meme that came about because of Detective Mystery solving & courtroom drama shows that used to be produced & aired back then. In those days it was often the very least suspected person, for example the Family Butler who did the crime in a particular episode, hence the meme.

Anyway.... As I said, I like the game making you view every angle of a crime including examining the artifacts found in a particular crime scene within the games, but what I absolutely hated in the games were.....

    THE OVER USE OF DRAMA!!!!

Seriously, it's like back in those days of old TV Courtroom drama shows where everyone seems like they drank too much coffee & are overly excited &/or twitchy :p

Actual court hearings are never that "exhilarating" & if you were to attend a court hearing & you have the attention span of an eight year old you might want to shoot yourself in the head because of boredom.

And that's suppose to be a bad thing?
So you want the game to be more "real",aka boring?

Oh. It also can stand for "quit f**king talking", which is what I thought you meant. I'm too cynical : /

The ace attorney games are quite good.
They aren't the best games for the DS (professor layton and zelda are the best),
    but they aren't overrated.

At least a semblance of what really happens in a court case would be better :p

By that what I mean is reading those thick Laws Tomes that lawyers use to site court cases & presenting these to the stand & being composed & not being overly agitated & yelling at your witnesses/suspects to "frighten" them in telling the truth :p

And it also helps if the Judge in the game was not biased & confronted his lawyers into respecting their witnesses too.

That's what makes Ace Attorney so unique and charming =P there's other games that follow real court(maybe). I think law & order is one of them. But you're never gonna find another game like ace attorney xD

It's dramatic moments, basically the whole game, is what gives the game it's feel.
It's Nintendo, everything needs to be dramatic.
