Does adding prefixes in already popular games boost sales?

    But well, Street Fighter II was a popular name. They wanted to keep the game going, so they put prefixes in it. That kinda boosted sales I guess.

    The same could be said for suffixes.

    Super Mario 64, Kirby 64, Donkey Kong 64, Wave Race 64, Etc.

    Super Mario Advance, FF advance, etc.

    And NSMB wii is an example where both a prefix AND suffix were added.

    Nintendo are the only people who really do this anymore. You don't see Hyper Metal Gear Solid PS3 Or Super God of War 5 PSP, It just doesn't SOUND good in serious titles.

    I'd say It'd push sales with a younger audience in mind, but if I saw Super God of War 5 PSP on the store shelves one day, I'd shit myself laughing.
