Do you get thrown off when the animations are terrible in a game?

It took me a really long time to figure out what you're saying & as I said before you're just too picky. I'll go out & say that you're just like 95% of the people I see commenting on old movies on Youtube who are Obsessive Compulsive LOL!.

The cutscenes in FF XIII weren't even good, I mean, they LOOKED good, but the horrible characters, and horrible writing, and horrible nonsensical story kinda ruined the feel for it all.

After X-2, a online game and a fail gameplay called XII.
FXIII looked like heaven to me.

Never had so much fun playing a FF before, even if i was selection auto-battle 90% of the time.

Try playing FF IV and V. Graphics are shit compared to what they have now but gameplay and fun-ness is heaven. It's like a trade-off between graphics and gameplay.

I've always felt that the characters in the Kingdom Hearts games have an excellent range of facial expressions that look believable; and the transition from one to the other is always seamless. Using the in-game engine too.

Terrible voice acting though :( (Except for Larxene <3).

Why criticize Mario 64 DS? It's a 3D game on the DS, and a launch game, I don't expect it to have the graphical fidelity and great animation like the console Mario games or Zelda Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks.

Nothing beats Oblivion/Fallout 3 for worst animations, every thing is so glitchy and stiff, I don't know how they can live with themselves by having the worst animations, bar none.

I actually don't mind Metal Gear's cutscenes, sure they're movie length but the gameplay is really fun. And plus, you can skip them, the games I hate is when I CAN'T skip them.

Really? I though they actually had pretty good voice acting, especially Roxas, compared to some others that are just dreadful -.-

I'm not one who cares about cut scenes much. If they're going to be over five minutes, I would prefer they look at least half way decent, but otherwise I don't particularly care. Your example of Super Mario 64 DS: You do realize that was a launch title for the DS back in 2004, right? You were really expecting it to look spectacular or something? I'm disappointed in you for being disappointed in that game's "cut-scene."

I found the voice acting for all the Disney characters to be pretty good, but most of the outside characters (Sora, Riku, Organization XIII, FF characters, etc.) had very sub-par voice acting most of the time. What was up with Cid's voice acting in KHII? He sounded like someone straight from the most stereotypical portion of the Southern United States.

Yeah, I like Roxas's voice (as well as Naminé's and the majority of the members of Organisation XIII), but Sora's (and Riku's and Kairi's) voice is just so grating to me.
I guess : /. I have a vendetta against the Disney characters purely for the fact that they are in the KH series; I hate the way that they make a game, that's pretty emo to begin with, even more childish; so I can't really offer an unbiased opinion on the quality of the voice acting for Disney characters.

I don't think there can be any complain about the disney characters...except they're kinda out of place -.- Square-enix, just make one game with similar gameplay(less button mashing though) and all original characters. The original KH cast is pretty good but the disney and FF(not so much since they're pretty cool anyway xD) characters throw off the game for me.

There was this superman game made after the movie and the cutscenes in them were great, but they were played over and over again.

The game was a pile of crap anyways. I'm quite sure that it was the same as Superman 64, but they added a strategy element to it. Sort of like Hexxen but you don't know what the hell you're doing. But every once in awhile, you would start flying in third person mode forced to pass a certain number of rings with terrible controls and with a small amount of time.

How bout mario 64 original? Pretty much the same.

Imagine how amazing this musta looked back in 1996 when most folks had a genny or a super nintendy.

Also, portables are NOT serious consoles (with maybe the exception of the PSP and the upcoming 3ds). They're meant for short, on-the-go bursts of gameplay.
