I agree just don't just put what it can't do. Say it can emulate GBA and play lots of different movies

It should really be cleaned up then unless you want 40 posts of noobs coming in screaming "MAH R4 IS GONNA BRICK MAH DS?!".

To be fair, Acekard is technically no longer officially supported. AKAIO is the firmware everybody uses, and that is made by a 3rd party, not the Acekard team. It is a pretty poor way to judge a cart.

 

Thing is normatt is doing a great job at it, and if we need it, acekards are still being PRODUCED so there is still a market for it.

R4's are just being produced in poor quality clones and SOMETIMES the occasional outstanding clone, however it's still nowhere near recommended.

 

From what I recall, Acekard is good on official updates when akAIO isn't. (Like if akAIO is stopped) However since AKAIO is doing the work for them, they really don't have a reason to update the official FW.

I didn't buy a fake TTDS. It was real, I tried it with the 'fake killer'. I had to buy a new DS 'cause that stupid thing broke mine.

 

The card is only still being produced because it is a source of cash with no work, plus it probably costs around $.07 to make a flash cart, so it is pretty great profit regardless. If Normatt ever stopped making AKAIO, the Acekard would die completely. The Acekard team isn't going to just start making new firmware again. No matter how you slice it though, the Acekard is technically no longer officially supported.

I'm just saying that the reason you gave for not getting an R4 could be used against Acekard.
