I didn't ask for a BS answer. Why should I avoid these, you just post flash carts to avoid and don't give any specific reason why we should avoid them.

Thats more like it. I'm using a TTDSi at the moment and I haven't had any problems with it at all am I a lucky one who hasn't run into any problems yet or will I in the near future? So to nip this problem in the bud what flash cart "should" I purchase?

    It's still working good.
That's something a lot of people already said, and still there was a new firmware update that works just as good as Akaio (Or how do you call it)

A 'SuperCard DSTWO', a 'CycloDS' or an 'Acekard2i'.

Yes, but it's still no reason to buy an R4.

You think it's not a reason to buy an R4.

Quite a great answer, but my R4 SDHC works with most games using YSMenu and patches.

Do you have a link to any sites that sell them for a relatively reasonable price?

    It's time is passed.

Like people passing. It's its time to pass on into the dust and be forgotten like the souls that you cannot name.

original R4s have not been produced for years. what you actually get is a clone of questionable quality.

Hey should I post the same topic in 'FlashCard Help' or should I ask someone to replace it?

Like loony said, someone else is making it and what you're getting is a cheap knock-off.

If you do come across the original R4, I'd be surprised. But I still wouldn't believe.

The original R4's production has been stopped for many years.
