That is true in any case. You can even get a crappy clone Acekard if you don't buy from the right place. It is a common place issue. I understand there are more R4 "clones", but not all the clones are absolute garbage either.

 

But it's suggested to avoid anything with R4 to it's name, unless you want the original or one that is actually updated.
I've not heard much about the Acekard clones actually.
Just the R4i right?

 

Still though, it is a risk no matter how you look at it. Really though, this thread wasn't just about the R4. If you had only sporadically read a page here or there, you wouldn't have really known that though.
