The slowdown is actually quite drastic.

Hell yeah, it is impossible for us to be alone. There is bound to be A LOT of Aliens somewhere in the universe!

    The universe is vast!
We don't even know all of our own galaxy yet. :p
We can't see anything on the other side, so we have no way of knowing what is beyond that. As for other galaxies, it will take thousands of years before a reply (even if there is one).

The instant expansion of the universe was so fast that expanded light years within seconds. Think of the empty universe as a stadium and the singularity as a uninflated balloon. Then think of that balloon expanding to touch the both field goals within 10 seconds.

Actually it may be like this...the balloon would be inflated to the goal posts in less than the flutter of a humming bird's wing.

What are the chances of aliens actually receiving and properly decoding and understanding that message we sent into space in the 80s or something?

We're constantly sending crap into space via satellite, radio, everything!

The first thing that the alien life form will either see or hear is the first broadcasted Olympic games in 1936, when Hitler was in charge of Germany.

I got an evil idea to make the aliens appear to us ;D We throw our tonnes of rubbish into space everyday and not long later our rubbish is sure to reach their homeland. And what do you get? An alien is bound to sue us for the polluting the space with rubbish ^^

and how will this rubbish break-free of the earth's gravitational field, never mind the sun's, unless you're planning on using rockets. i don't think you've thought this idea through...

I am planning on using rockets ;D

Good luck. A rocket takes some serious $, and you'll need a lot of them to get all that rubbish up there.

In an infinite universe, no matter how improbable something is, it's bound to have happened somewhere.

True. Improbability becomes an infinite possibility (Infinite is only a number that cant be counted with current methods).

I believe things like religion and gods and stuff originated from Aliens.

No we did not >:D It is possible to assume that some life form exist out there in the vast universe. Modern science is still not advanced enough to find it ;D
