    Hey,

On my counter strike gaming community i started an equal thread as this to see people their opinion about what is out there.

We as mankind live on the planet earth, yet there is so much more to discover.
    What will we find?
    Aliens?
    Any kind of life?
    Maybe we will never know..

I would like to know what your view on it is, What do you think lies out there?
Do you think we will be able to discover it all one day?
Do you think there are other planets like earth?
Do we even exist? or are we just a mere illusion of our own brain?
When we are sleeping are we dreaming, or are we dreaming when we are awake?

Questions that can ceep you awake at night...

    1. We will find mostly nothing.
    2. Aliens must exist, but the chances of an encounter are slim, very slim.
    3. Evidence of life will be easier to find.
    4. Nothing lies out there, nothing sparsely populated with stars, gases, rocks and ice.
    5. No, never.
    6. Yes.
    7. What?! I thought you were talking about space, not questioning our very existance.
    8. See 7.

    5. Not if the expansion of the universe continues... or doesn't continue
    7. Cogito ergo sum: I think, therefore I am. Our own existence is the one thing we cannot reasonably doubt.
    8. Dreams occur only during the REM stage of sleep. People daydream. "Dream" can also refer to future ambitions or the like.

When I went out into space long ago, I saw a beautifull planet called Namek. The inhabitants were friendly but there was some really mean guy there, I think his name was Frieza so I left. I hope he doesn't find mother Earth.

I think Frieza will kill you before anyone else.

Space has nothing to do with what's going on inside our heads.

most of what this guy is saying is wrong. it is not asking if there is life it is asking where is it.

all so on number 4 yes there is stuff to find out there. one being that with in a few 1000 years hell maybe a few 100 years the earth will be over populated. meaning we will have to fight for food water. prices will go up and it will be a total mess. what we can find out there is a planet to call home. and we might find deposets of minerals that are not found on earth

when it comes to space it not asking if there is stuff out there it is asking where it is

lolwut? nex answered the OP's questions, and none of them asked "where" something is.

Besides, as this is all conjecture, there is no right or wrong. Therefore, you are wrong in calling nex wrong.

I have indeed, and it still has nothing to do with philosophy.

YES it does. Physics and science in the end of the day is philosophy with experiments.
Science aren't just idea, it has to be tested. Even Einstein's relativity is tested until this day even though it was proven so many times before.
