@ loony I have an uncle who lives in California and he sends me tons of obscure, odd, hentai and whatever games. Too bad he never sends me some "normal" games @ Kamage Which Contra do you mean? NES, SNES, PSX, PS2? I have only three NES Contra games at home now. I think they are Contra, Super Contra and Contra Force.
Well the NES Contra's were fun to play in co-op, with Contra Force being hard due to extreme slowdowns in some areas Otherwise i was able to complete every one of those listed without getting killed once. As for the PSX contra, i played it awhile at my friend's place and the STUPID camera was driving me nuts. Like sure, it was zoomed at your character all the time and you didn't see the enemy until he started firing at you ---> LAME And i've yet to play the PS2 one, i think it's shattered soldier or something. But it's a blue disc and none of my PS2's at home are willing to load it up.
NES Contra Code: ^ ^ v v < > < > B A START <- 30 lives Super- C Code: > < v ^ A B START <- 10 Lives I know why you have a hard time with the NES (first) Contra, especially if you're playing the US release. For some reason the US version's difficulty was tuned up a notch compared to the Japanese One.
Honestly, I've found that a lot of FF games last a good while. I've beat FFX six times and still wanna play it. But yeah, that's kinda obvious I mean it FF who doesn't like it? I haven't played FFXII in at least a year, and I've got the worst itch to play it, but I can't get into contact with the guy who borrowed it :-[ Anyway yeah FF games last a while, Legend of Zelda too, and a lot of em'
i remember finishing ff9 which lasted forever, but then the second time round you want to unlock everything serects etc...
Yeah, but i never could beat FFX with one-hundred percent completeness, at least I don't think I could. But anyway Kingdom Hearts 2 lasts awhile to, but KH2 not KH1, played that once, then went back once, and that was it, the battle system was just to rigid
the battle system gets too repetitive, in every battle your pulling out the same movesĀ :-\ at least the story was good
Yeah, good but incredibly confusing. I still can't figure that crap out. but like I said KH1's battle system was "to repetitive" KH2's seemed a little more customizable, all ya' got to do is know what button's to push at the right time.
Not really, I'm a mod on several MMORPGs and I got bored of them about the same as all the others. As for the topic name I'm inclined to agree, whether it's just me getting better at them or if they really are becoming easier, i agree However many "easy" games are still incredibly fun (Worms, Bomberman and Mariokart all spring to mind)
Mariokart. I put half of my childhood in to that game. And now half my Adolescence, a so many hours wasted, but so many good memories And FYI I'm not talkin' about MMORPG's I'm talkin' about the actual console game, If that makes a diffrence or not I can't tell, but just about any game I play I get memories of later and soon the incomprensible urge to play it again. I put my life into games, any and every minute of gaming to me is another chunk of my life that I can go back and revisit. Playing mariocart now brings me back to easier times, naps in the middle of the school day instead of setting in Geometry and working all period. But, hey, that's just me, I have no life.
@Luk7nk4: I'd highly recommend Civilisiation IV, if you haven't played it already, it's well worth a look. Be prepared to spend weeks at the thing though, even with 20 hours a day...
in some sense they are dying because games in some way are moving away from the arcades. street fighter 2 for instance was an arcade game and was ported to the console.
@ gaynorvader I have that one for PC and Civilisation 2 for the PSX, both good games, but they just get brutally repetitive And it takes the computer a freaking eternity to finish his move (Civ2) @ Cahos LOL Konami code @ Krusha I agree with you on the simple games (worms for example), but you need a human to play with or against you, it's not fun to play against the computer. @ ultra It's a bit different with fighting games, you can play these infinitely, even the bad ones. @ Fearon In my eyes FFX was a failure. And the whole FF series started going downhill from FFIX. You know the past FF's (from FF1 - FF8) were great, good stories, fun battles(to an extent) and the characters. FF9? The main hero is a MORON IMO, same goes for Tidus in FFX. I seriously couldn't bring myself to like these two nomatter what BTW did someone get the Excalibur 2 weapon in FFIX?
