I prefer the Fringe explanation where it is memories of your other self from the other dimension. You find the area/situation familiar because in a way you have already done it/been there.

"It's the picture of what ever you're seeing but your brain comprehends it twice straight away accidently, so you think you have seen it before! Deja-vu happens in a split second (The pictures you see)."

    As I said.

If this dosent apply to you then it isnt deja vu

For me deja vu is like It has happened but I thought it just a dream that you forget. :O

a few months ago i dreamed that i would be having difficulty with a particular test, just today that particular test appeared in the form of a midterm test bearing the same number, style of handwriting as in my dream...weird.

    You stole my joke...

Of course people are going to feel they've done/seen something before, human life is incredibly routine.

Dont worry, im going to stay out of this, i provided the scientific explanation and I cant be stuffed.

forte, to tell the truth, i cant really explain it, its a feeling...like how to explain the colour blue.

    Apologies for dismissing peoples posts

some series tend to have ideas or story development that look alot like others

like a bomb situation, everybody would know that it would get disarmed.

deja vu its just a trick of the mind..... telling you you've been here and seen that before but its just relating to a past experience that was almost the same.... so the brain is triggered to read that as the same situation

what he meant here was re-runs, as in re-airing the same episode of a tv-series
since you already saw that episode, you already know what's going to happen, so it could be some kind of deja-vu

You specialise in and know all about déjà vu? Even though scientific research has yielded few results?
