So you're syaing just because we're the same type of animals, we shouldn't kill someone for these dispicable crimes that are being spoken?

I'm not pro or against but that seems kind of silly... animals eat other animals... so i don't know, I respect your opinion, but I strongly disagree with the way your theory.

animals do not kill other animals of the same species (excepting humans) except in cases of euthanasia (mercy killing) or infanticide in when the social structure of the pride changes in the case of lions, or territorial fights. Mothers may eat their offspring if they are starving, but other than that there is no same-species murders in the animal kingdom. In fact, excepting baboons (and humans again), there is no killing for pleasure in the animal kingdom, Only killing to satisfy a need, whether it be food, mercy killing of a sick/disabled creature or defense/territorial disputes.

    say..theoretically speaking.

If I slaughter your whole family with you having front row seats and then post it on the internet for everyone to see, just because i thought that it would be funny. Would you be more than willing to forgive me?

I would forgive you, i know it sounds hard to believe but the reasons are
    1) i dont like my family
    lol
    2) im backing up what i said, human should not be the judge on wether another human dies
thank you! mr. Admin those are some points people fail to comprehend

Well, you haven't made your point clear that normal people would understand them.

and You do know that hate will turn into regret and misery, right?

Also, you haven't taken up all the things to consider if ever that kind of event is gonna happen.

I wouldn't say killing a human because he's broke a law is pleasure.

The Death Sentance isnt for enjoyment, its for punishment and so people feel safer...if you say "Just put them in prision" would be stupid because prisons are filled now

by pleasure I meant killing for the hell of it/no good reason, i.e murder, serial killers, terrorism, war (no war is not the same as a territorial dispute, war is on much bigger scale. In the animal kingdom, a territorial dispute results in anything from zero to maybe 15-20 deaths. War results in thousands of times that many deaths, and even more. Further, wars since the second world war have caused the deaths of many non-combatants, that would almost never happen in the animal kingdom. in some cases war is necessary, but killing non-combatants never is.)

in animal kingdom theres no non-combatant nature is always at war

yes there is. When two male lions are fighting over their territory, the elephants are non-combatants. so are all the other animals, and the lion pride 20 miles away.

so when two male lions are fighting, elephants and other animal in their way dies?

  17. Loonylion

    Loonylion Administrator Staff Member

no, they stay out of the way, which is my point. the fight is between the two combatants, whereas with human wars its kill as many of the other side as you can, combatant or not.

ah, i thought animals in the wild are stubborn as a mule like in many people in wars, instead of evacuating, they stand firm and just die in between 2 opposing forces.

out-out of topic, can there be a lioness instead of a lion as head of a pride?

if there is no male, then yes, but if a male comes along then the alpha female gives way to him.

in the wild its all about survival of the fittest and the most dominant, but here with us humans, we are all the same, there is no need for us to act like animals here, no need to put someone to death because you think that they deserve that
