    This is mostly towards Americans

    CNN reports:

North Korea is low on food and medical
    http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9705/31/north.korea/

North Korea has made a rare admission that the country faces food shortages and needs help from outside

so...should we Americans help and/or care??
Because North Korea is more likely to help Osama Bin Laden than help us..

    What do you think??

I know that's an old story but CNN just reported, North Korea asking for help..again...

North Korea wouldn't try to help out any other country other than themselves.

I dont care if they die of starvation personally.
Maybe there is something to be gained by helping them, better relations between the contries or whatever, if thats the case then help them. Its not as if the US is in the middle of a food shortage, they can spare plenty.
Theres a lot of talk about north korea wanting war and having nuclear weapons so a little help can go a long way

its a self made problem. North korea's government spends far too much on their military and not enough on domestic problems.

I don't care for North Korea. At all.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't N Korea just demanding trillions from the US in "compensation" almost a month ago? ::)

We need to fortify South Korea now and let them starve out, out of a last ounce of desperation, there will be war in Korea again.

It's a sad state of affairs when the world is willing to neglect innocent civilians because of the faults of their government.
International aid was never about having other countries owe some sort of debt to you.

I don't actually think kim would help bin laden. While they both hate americans and the rest of the western world, bin laden recognises no religion other than islam and all others are infidels, and kim jong-il recognises no god except himself and his father.

in other words: blame it all on Kim and his ilk.
the N.K. people are mostly brainwashed though...

That didn't take much though, they only get to see things the government wants them to.
I heard their world cup games were only going to be televised if they won.

I bet the country nearly fell apart! until that point they were led to believe they were awesome at everything and had the world over a barrel.
I wonder how much internet they can see

zero, NK doesnt have internet at all. The have their own country wide computer network with no access to the outside world. Not that most of their citizens have computers anyway.

To put things in perspective, Australian telecommunications minister Stephen Conroy was named Internet Villain of 2009 ahead of nobodies like Kim Jong-il and Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
