Re: Collector\'s games... that thing has night vision goggles in it-REAL ONE'S!!! You lucky pr...I mean good for you Post Merge: [time]1252655395[/time] I JUST GOT METAL GEAR SOLID 3 SUBSITANCE! [me=mds64]is finnally happy[/me]
If you mean how metal gear solid 3 subsistance has emulated the msx metal gear's then no-it depends on the rarity. If the collector has rom's it means nothing-though the only value roms have to playability-rom's are only worth anything if you, uh, sell them for cheap? Really rom's have no value-but then again how does RomUlation keep going XD (It's just data so it ain't gonna go up-keep a rom of a game you don't want to wreck I reckon)
umm that's not what i meant; for example i have a special edition version of the n64 game of tsumi to batsu. will the roms effect the cartage's price? if so, will it bring the price up or down?
So you own the actual cartridge of this ??? If so, having a rom won't affect it. If it's JUST a rom (electronic data) then no value at all-unless it's a game that never made cartridge and is on the original medium it was recorded on (say a beta of an snes game on a floppy disk-hard to prove but you never know..) it's not worth anything. ...unless you can explain it a bit more-the second you mentioned rom it means no value.
no thats alright... i guess you understand, thanks for the help, now i can rent games and make a electronic copy for "back up" <.< >.> ...yes "back up"
Oh-those aren't worth anything except for just to experience-that and to protect valuble dis games... I did that to mgs snake eater-the disc IS new so with an older but more used copy I ripped it-I'm selling the other as it's standard edition-this NEW one is metal box (I only wish they left it factory sealed )
well what are the current prices for these games? *all of them have been opened, all games have been used, they have booklets but no box: super mario 64: starwars rouge squadron: starfox 64: mario kart 64: rainbow 6 64: goldeneye 007:
US Prices just an estimate you may get more or less...usually less. Mario 64 $15.00 cart only ($100.00 factory sealed) Starwars Rouge Squadron: around $5.00 cart only ($50.00 factory sealed) Starfox 64 around $10.00 if with rumble pak $5.00 cart only ($125.00 factory sealed) Mario Kart 64 $15.00 cart only ($100.00 factory sealed) Rainbow 6 $5.00 cart only ($50.00 factory sealed) Goldeneye 64 $10.00 cart only ($100.00 factory sealed) I've got Paper Mario and Kirby 64 been seeing them sell for $20.00+ each cart only. (roughly $100.00+ each factory sealed)
...dam. All of mine are opened-even dam metal gear solid 3 metal box (if only the idiot left it in packaging I would have been happy)
Its rare to find old games still factory sealed up even more so to pay a cheap price for them. I would say a few of them may bring a little more if they are complete even if they have been opened. You also have to be careful sometimes you may see one that is sealed, but its actually been resealed with shrink wrap seen that happen a lot with NES and Genesis games and a few playstation games as well, but resealed PSX games are easier to spot as factory sealed ones have a holographic symbol and a strip that reads the game name on it that runs across the edge of the gem.
Wow, all of you have collector's items games... I don't even have one... and I want one soooo bad... How do you get one?
1.When a new game comes out look for a "collector's edition" or "special edition"-for best value leave them in box unopened-if you wish to play best download a copy of it XD 2.Ebay or amazon 3.Various net sites may have them-just needs creative google searches 4.Some game shops may have them-but in collector's value may drop-also second hand dealers-they are cheaper as they price them on actual worth not collector's value 5.Certain good games can be classified as collectables-a sealed contra 4 or metal slug 7 are considered collectables because they are in limited numbers-if not sealed they could still be alot in near mint condition Just to add-a copy of an old game in a box can still be worth-good to know fact is that ANY zelda game will end up as collector's item at some stage. What is not a true collector's item is anything by EA (need for speed most wanted black and carbon collector's edition) or pre-ordered games with so called special content-it's just a bloody card that unlocks it-needs different packaging or physical item extra like "making of" disc. Also-if you have resident evil at all-that may be worth value-even survivor-and that's one of the lower end games [me=mds64]hugs RE survivor[/me] If you were sealed I could die a happy man
The store worker-he went up the back to get a copy-judging by the time he took I guessed he opened the dame thing I could have had that new wii shooter-but NO while cheapest price the bonus book is stuffed-I ain't buying it new if it looks loike a dog got it! (same day-deciding what to get-he offered the conduit-since the collector's edition was about to run out-but because they removed books and manuals and placed them in a draw they got chewed up-the books were to big for the draw). If I worked there I'd place them in a cryogenic vault Welcome K9 as well
... wouldn't that expose them to freeze damage? the ink inside the disk (and yes it's a type of ink) would crack and disintegrate because the only thing stopping that is the over ink with the decal, and even that'll overfeeze and crack... ... airtight vault with no humidity.
Looks my sarcasm looked serious again XD I just got another copy of metal slug 7-sure I have 2 of them but one is FACTORY SEALED (considering metroid prime trilogy and yet I have all 3-waste of cash maybe?)
Only thing that worries me is the dam book with artwork in it I might be tempted to rip it apart like a kid at christmas...
