I used this patch, but my game won't even load, just a white screen. I think this might be a problem with the EDGE card i'm using, maybe i need to update the firmware? Can anyone else with an EDGE confirm this?

I know this isn't the right place to ask this but, will I need to get an English Patch for this? I read somewhere that this is "Fully English" I'm not sure what this mean but I'm pretty sure it's BS. Anyone care to help a noob out?

It's not BS. The japanese release has two languages, English or Japanese. And it auto selects based on your DS (If you use an american DS, you will automatically get the English selected). You can change it in the configuration whiel playing if you wish as well.

Patch it, and then try running it. Make sure you've updated your firmware.

I too had a DSTT and this same thing happen to me. I patched the game on a different folder before I moved it to my DSTT. It still gave me a blank screen, then the same red Error text T__T, I have the latest firmware, but that doesn't seem to help. Did you learn any way to patch the game?

DSTTs aren't that good at running patched games.

I have the R4ds 1.18 and would love to be able to play this game. I read somewhere on the site that getting the cheats would enable the game to work. As I am not computer savvy could someone point me in the right direction for a simple walkthrough of how to get these cheats please.

I'm not sure where to go for help for this problem, but whenever I try to run Chrono Trigger (US version) on my R4 I get an error message saying "Unable to access data. Please turn the power off and reinsert the game card." I downloaded the rom from romulation and installed it as I would any other game. This error also happens with the patched and unpatched versions. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

solution found. extract files into folder, put original rom file into the folder, run "run_this_to_patch_ct" and put the patched rom onto your card, and viola, epic win. i have gotten past both the teleported and the church piano thingy and for ref i have an Ncard.

Is there a walkthrough of this cos i dont know how to do it. Not computer savvy and i still havnt learnt how to do the quote thing im so thick. any help would be appreciated.

Actually I did manage to get it working with my DSTT. I re-formatted my SD card, put the newest firmware from ndstt.com and my backup. I'm not sure if this made a difference, but I re-downloaded the Jap rom from the european mirror instead of the NA one to make sure I didn't have a possibly corrupt rom.

I then downloaded the usrcheat.dat from http://cheats.gbatemp.net and overwrited the one from my TTMenu folder. Booted up my DS, enabled cheats for the game and it started fine. I'm now in the prehistoric era and haven't had a single issue.

And for the record, I did not apply the patch to the rom I downloaded from the EU mirror, I simply used the cheat codes to bypass the anti-piracy features.

The patch is found from gbatemp. It is not necessarily flashcart specific.
