again the theories of science are not purposely trying to disprove god they just show the bible to be false in many cases and as it was written with the guidance of god who is infallible makes the whole thing a bit suspect!

also again you have a blatant misunderstanding of the academic use of the word theory especially regarding science. watch the videos posted above by me they explain the misuse of the word theory regarding academics.

this is exactly my comment on religious leaders twisting words to blind the followers they preach to

i'll spell it out and if you still say its just a theory your very very very stupid

theory in academics (study) is the term used to bring together a subject that is fact and governed by laws (universal law not the police)
all scientific study is called "theory" not because it is an idea in someones head but because it is the theory behind how something works

not everything is even allowed to be called theory as it has to provide result and put through peer review and scrutinized only then can it even be called theory.

the sentence "its just a theory" makes you look very dumb as it shows you have been misled and don't understand the academic term theory (which shows you grew up in southern America or you never got far in school)

yes its a "theory" and if you don't know what that means then just keep believing in creationism cause there are some things in the world that will probably make you head explode. did you know the world was round WOW does the world go round the sun WOW did you know that these theories including the most famous E=mc2 was halted buy religious people.

have faith believing in god is fine, following jesus's teachings fine but please use your brain and don't believe in creationism.

find out who god is to you not what you are told.

i'm on your side i'm all for faith (faith not religion there is a difference) even though i don't believe in it (have my own beef with god its a long story) its an obsession of mine i think about it all the time but i think about it objectively. we know that creation the way it describes in the bible is wrong we have tested factual evidence that shows how the earth and the universe work, it wasn't poof!! magic.

but think if you are god and you have to describe to someone that has no concept of anything how the universe was made your not going to go in to details.
think now how would you explain the creation of the universe if you built it atom by atom to 2 year old child or (no offense to any one) a retard with dribble running down their face and giggles if you say the word poop.

"i made the world and i put water and things on it"
"it was dark so i made some light"
    "OH yeah it looked good"

and 7 god days might just equate to billions of earth years

you can still have god and science, it might just make you a well adjusted person

    my comments..

    1. You think you're well educated? read your post, check your grammar..

    2. Let's not use the word "theory" then.. how bout false belief??

    3. "you can still have god and science, it might just make you a well adjusted person".. well adjusted? those are 2 very opposite things.having no god at all, makes you a better person..why not get rid of god,be RATIONAL,and just live your life. Believing in a supreme being is still very Irrational to me..

    4. IF there is something hard to explain like your atom by atom example to a 2 year old, then should we give the credit to GOD?that he did it? of course not..

science and religion don't have to be mutually exclusive.

also just because someone doesn't have perfect spelling or grammar does not mean they aren't well educated. They could be dyslexic for all you know.

    You continued it.

Please, keep this debate nice and clean :)

    Anyways, on your post:

    1. You think you're well educated? read your post, check your grammar..

    Was this your only defense?

    2. Let's not use the word "theory" then.. how bout false belief??

A theory can actually be a not yet proven law, and a false belief is practically wrong. After all, a theory can be right or wrong, right?

    3. "you can still have god and science, it might just make you a well adjusted person".. well adjusted? those are 2 very opposite things.having no god at all, makes you a better person..why not get rid of god,be RATIONAL,and just live your life. Believing in a supreme being is still very Irrational to me..

People often believe in things to comfort them, like you believe in science. Science comforts you, and religion comforts him.

    4. IF there is something hard to explain like your atom by atom example to a 2 year old, then should we give the credit to GOD?that he did it? of course not..

Erm... I don't actually understand this question...

Now that that's straightened out, please proceed

    wee..im sorry..

    1. I have a Masters Degree in Computer Engg..

    2. I referred to the existence of GOD as a "theory".. having been "educated" by a good friend who hates south americans here,ehem.. i'll be using "false belief" then..

    3. If religion comforts him...(no comment..hehe)

    4. What i meant was, that if there is something you don't understand..(Ex. How the universe came to be..) Is it right then to say that GOD started it? That a celestial being should've started everything??

oh i don't know where every one has got confused are you guys referring to me as being religious. you're very far from the truth and no one reads what i say.

my posts where aimed at this statement "While I believe there is a GOD, until there is evidential proof and not theories of him not existing, then I will continue to believe he exists." and at those people that say science is theory (showing their blatant lack of understanding about theory)

and my posts on religion defend both sides of the argument, too many people get angry about this subject it doesn't have to be ether or.
atheists get so angry at people who believe in god, by all means be angry at creationism as its overly stupid. but people are allowed god in their life, i don't agree with it personally but some people need it and they shouldn't have to be made to feel like crap because some angry Muppet with a more logical idea wants to have a go.
and i try to work the workings of the universe in to religion to show religious people they can still have god and embrace science and to give those angry atheists an injection of faith and look at it objectively.

if your still not clear where i stand i'll do some spelling out again I DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD nor am i religious in anyway, as i said i'm obsessed with the subject and why these debates even go on. actually thinking about it its not religion i'm obsessed with its human nature i enjoy observing. finding out why people believe against all evidence and trying to see if the two subjects can work in harmony together.

this statement "you can still have god and science, it might just make you a well adjusted person" was aimed at the same people that say "science is just a theory its not proven"

to be honest you don't even need science to disprove the bible it does it all by its self just look at history you can see where it was fudged.

and by the way yes i have bad grammar i also have bad structuring which is why i'm guessing no body reads what i'm saying the way it is in my head and if it wasn't for the fact that my firefox spell checks every thing i type you would see i can't spell ether.
but i excel in areas regarding social skills and i'm in the top 2% in my country for something i can't remember but its to do with visual IQ or something (bad memory wonders of dyslexia) but generally i have an above average IQ and the irritating personality that makes me ask question and over think every thing which means i tend to find out quite a bit about subjects that interest me

did i make my self clear or does anyone still not understand where i'm coming from
