Short explanation: The NDS already has perfect HARDWARE emulation of GBA games (using Slot 2). Thus, there serves no need to make a flash cart (Slot 1) which uses SOFTWARE emulation of the GBA. Solution? Get yourself a GBA flashcart, should be pretty cheap nowadays.
ahh here is where ur all wrong... GBA can be played on the r4i+dsi but not before someone works out how to get YSMenu onto it cuz YSMenu plays the gba roms
wat R4s CAN have YSMenu on them. YSMenu does NOT play GBA roms without a slot-2 flashcart. The ONLY way to emulate GBA on a slot-1 flashcart is with the iPlayer, which, as you may have guessed, is NOT an R4.
To everyone-disregard. For r4 to play gba games you need a slot 2 expansion/dedicated gba flash card (if latter then you don't need an r4 XD) and ys menu to get it going. YS menu is just the software to get them running to the expansion card-the acekard/edge can do that as they are-r4 can't, thus it needs this extra software to run. Do your research next time.
I know that GBA games work with the R4, With gba emulator and rom http://www.ds-xtra.com/Lameboy http://lameboy.nutki.com/?p=24 http://www.zophar.net/consoles/nds.html
yes, downloaded it too, but it has no .nds in it so my ds cant get that file that uses iplayer hardware
