Guys I Need Help! I'm Currently taking AB International Studies Major In European Studies In DLSU and I Plan To Shift To AB Literature. Does Anyone know what my possible jobs would be and pay check price ranges. Thanks in advance.

 

Ah, I thought you already shifted.

You mean in literature jobs, right? First, you can be a writer of books, if its a best seller, you can be a billionaire, like J.K Rowling of Harry Potters, or a decent income like Bob Ong... but i suggest not make it a full time job cause its a gamble if the book will be a success.

Second job would be a article writer in newspaper, but its a complicated and competitive job, mainly because of Journalism graduates. My professor said he gets 3T pesos for every article every monday, so thats like 12T a month.... but remember, he is a pro and full of experience.

3rd, you can be an actor, producer or director of plays and films. They pay well in other countries like the US, but in the Philippines, i suggest be careful and make a lot of connections.

4th job, you can teach but get an MA first, so you can teach in college level, if you want to be a teacher, you have to get education units and pass the board exam, knows as "LET". In college, you get paid per unit, means hours and its kinda pays well for top uni and colleges. but teacher only gets a good pay if you get into a good private school. Forget public schools cause you have years to take to excel in the ranks.

I can't shift until my 3rd term.

Writing books would be nice i do dream of getting discovered like JK Rowling. Local publisher then scholastic gets the hands on my book then decides to buy the rights to publish in the US but alas its just a dream. I'll only act in a local tv show if and only if its being produced by a US or Canada production studio or on a US show, I don't wanna dis local media but its not exactly my type. You must know how to dance and sing and act gosh when did acting get so complicated? I don't want to teach. And not into newspapers. I'm thinking of working in a Publishing house or magazine. Know Any Connections in the Publishing/Magazine World ?

 

Um, yes i do, but i wont share it. To be honest, when someone goes into literature, its mostly you want to write a book, which in my opinion can be done even though you dont have a degree. Mostly literature graduates ends up teaching. You share what you have read to your students.

I dont want to break a dream or discourage you, it just my suggestion that you really think a great deal on literature, if you want to pursue it or not. Cause writing a book is a gamble and even if you have a degree on literature and you graduated from a prestigious school, it doesn't mean you will end up with a nobel prize in literature.

And last, I know my opinion doesn't really matter, but i think you already have an excellent course to pursue. And should stick to it. But i do hope you will follow what you want.

Smart Bro or any of its sub group of connections suck. Go anywhere else, I myself am using PLDT's DSL. I can easily download 100mb plus files under half an hour. Pretty fast for a philippine connection.

Guys Help Please

I'm looking to buy a wifi router. A nice reliable one where i can connect using my laptop, psp and itouch. Some say that some routers arent compatible with the itouch and psp. is that true? anyway i need like a brand for a nice router and my price range is around 1K. Thanks in advance
