Also Raid 0 isn't a thing I recomend, which is 2 HDs that recognize as one, half of a file is in one, the other half is in the other, so if one of the HD get f*cked, then my friend, all the files got corrupted, the system and all.
Also I second what Loonylion said, stay away from Alienware, it's just high price and they don't assembly good stuff.
And If I were you, I'd like to bought a Desktop simple, bigger, but simple, don't need all the freshness of those gamer desktop, they just high prices, cuz at all, what really count is what is inside, not the exterior of the PC.

Not quite, raid 0 is multiple hard disks appearing as one disk with capacity appearing as the combined capacity of the disks in the array. Raid 5, 6 and jbod are similar but safer. Raid 1 is two disks appearing as one disk with the capacity appearing as the capacity of the smaller of the two disks, the second disk contains an identical copy of the data on the first disk.

okay loony...based on the things i posted above, does it all currently work together? and what else do i need?

take your time loony...i'll go ahead and pick out the HDD's, i'm going with seagate 8)

    is this a good harddrive?

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148506

    i wanna put 3 of'em in it :p

    or this one..

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136579

    which is better?

I wouldnt recommend seagate, they've had issues fairly recently and I still don't trust them again. I also would not recommend you use TB hard disks for installing stuff on, big hard disks have higher seek times, which makes them a lot slower. They're great for storing big files on, because thats reading and writing a lot of contiguous sectors, but for random iops such as when running an OS or programs, the high seek time will really affect their performance. I would suggest no more than 500GB for a system drive (I use 320GB disks for system, and a 150GB dedicated games disk (WD raptor))

you'll also need decent thermal paste: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100007 and stuff to remove the shitty paste that the heatsink may already have on it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100010 (if it doesnt already have paste applied then this isnt needed)

okay, i'll find smaller harddrives...and i have no clue what to doe with that paste stuff T_T

you put a thin layer on the surface of the CPU before you attach the heatsink

for system, games and temp drives, yes. You should still get a 1 or 2TB for storage. I dont recall seeing an optical drive, have you chosen one?

i got about 8 TB's in external storage >.> and i feel bad about this question...what's and "optical" drive? is it like a disk drive?

an optical drive is a drive that uses a laser to read the media. CD/DVD/bluray etc

Their issues was with Hard drives that has firmware 7200.11
I got one 7200.12, pretty cheap here, the model is: SEAGATE BARRACUDA ST31000528AS 1TB SATA 300MB/s 7200rpm 32MB
I got one and assembled 4 computers for customers with this one, no issues have been seen there.

And seriously, sound card is an exaggeration, no need that much, the onboard sound quality is good these days, I only recomend it if your onboard sound has burned, with an eletricity shutdown for example.
