Ya, it's out in the US, you can buy it with next day delivery on Amazon.com I was just curious if my local store had it in stock and forgot to check. If you really want to dump the game, read this tutorial, Lord Absu: http://www.monroeworld.com/myfaq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=7&id=85&artlang=en
Will read tutorial and see what I can do. EDIT: Uuuuh... looks really complex... I hope I can pull it off, but -- seriously -- no promises here....
i live in Puerto Rico too and i went yesterday to a gamestop and it was there... hope you make it LordAbsu! it really doesnt sound complex unless you dont know much of pc, in wich i dont... again, good luck!
Having trouble with the IP address of the procedure... I use a router set up by a friend who is way more computer literate than me, and static IP's and such have always been a sore spot. >.< Still trying. Also, Seph: duly noted.
I've never dumped a ROM myself, but isn't there an easier solution with the EZFlash 3-in-1 (supposing anyone has one)? There's a homebrew application called the NDS Backup Tool (3in1) that exports the data from the DS card to the EZFlash, which is then transferred onto your MicroSD card when you boot up the program again. Just curious. If I had a cartridge with me right now I would have tried it, but I'm out of town at the moment.
The 3-in-1 flash method only works for small ROMs. I think there is only 32MB of ram on the slot 2 card (or maybe 64?) so if it was a 128MB or 256MB game, it wouldn't work. If you are having trouble finding your local IP address: Click on your "Start" bar Click "Run..." Type in "cmd" (No quotes) Hit OK This opens up the Command Prompt Type "ipconfig/all" (No quotes) There will be a list of stuff, the important ones are: IP Address and Default Gateway IP Address is your computer's local IP. Default Gateway is your router's IP (Not important for this setup, I believe, but still nice to know).
Any way you could tell me how to do that in Vista? My laptop is frakked, and I'm on the wife's. >.< EDIT--> I have it all set up per the instructions, and every time I fire up the back-up tool I get this: Can't connect with the Access Point of Wifi Please confirm the Wifi setting. I suspect it's the bloody IP addy....
I understand that our internet connection is wireless, and we access it via router. (I don't mean to sound snarky, I'm just using the simplest language possible given my relative inexperience with the subject matter to expedite procedures.) As for the WiFi on DS, it is possible I have no settings for a WiFi connection on this one. I traded in my 1st DS Lite for a spiffier newer model, so maybe that could be it. How would I go about configuring it?
I think with the DS Lite it's actually necessary to configure it in a game. I couldn't find it in mine just playing around for a minute and a half, but I know there's Wi-Fi settings in Pokemon Pearl's menu, for example.
Nintendo's site as a step by step on how to setup your wireless: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/index.jsp (Just click the step by step under the DS Lite portion and answer a few questions)
I'm on it, TirithRR. EDIT: The instructions mention needing an online-enabled game, so I'm using Pokemon Pearl on my R4 as we speak....
I'm a little perplexed. It sounds like you have your home network already set up. If that's the case, all you have to do is add the settings for that connection to your DS lite, but that requires you to start up a game that has the ability to edit Wi-Fi Connection Settings.
I'd never set up the WiFi on this, my 2nd DS Lite, but now that that has been take care of, and the DS connects flawlessly to the access point, I get the following message: Can't connect with the FTP Server. Confirm the setting of the ini file. Post Merge: [time]1244689514[/time] GREAT NEWS, you guys!! It's working!! ;D If 'm reading this right, it's a 16MB rom, so it should be done soon. Thanks for coaching me through, I will be giving back to the community shortly!
