I'm so gonna go against the people here (except Gameboy5.0) and say these two; Halo (the complete story) and Silent Hill (very psychological).

 

Have anyone played chrono trigger that should won.but all Final Fantasy series has amazing storyline but i prefer chrono trigger.if the had any other final fantasy game there i would vote it for sure.

Halo has one of the worst stories/plots in any game ever. How come Humans, who spend so much time trying to destroy one another, haven't made any military progress in over 500 years?! I mean WTF. Other than that the story is very standard fare and rather predictable, not to mention it's completely stolen from a series of sci-fi books (not a bad thing in itself, but no acknowledgement is given which is disgraceful).

I think the only reason people think Halo is above average is because it's the first FPS they played.

 

Final Fantasy X was really good i spent a long time playing that game........the ending was good to............X-2 sucks horribley......................FF7 is a phenomenon.........

 

FF7- It has a great cast, not childish, and the artwork makes the story that much better. It has a message as well. Shinra draining the world's mako is a parallel to humans using up the planets resources for business.

I liked the Boktai Series, interesting stories.
KH's story was weird, liked the game.
I sorta liked the Evil Lord's Half-Minute Hero story, even though it's not a story.

My favorite is the Metal Gear Series.

The world Ends with You sooooooooooo has the best story line! Oh, and pokemon mystery dungeon time/darkness!

chronotrigger is right up there but its not the best. (imo)
anyway, its all down to preference, there is no right answer.
anyone can see chronotrigger, ff7, ffx etc all have great stories and should appreciate them all.

 

I tried, but it went weird when I went into the portal-thing...it just kept spinning...for like 5 minutes.

 

You should never make polls because most people haven't experienced all those games.

I picked Final Fantasy X. If you played, you'd know why.

 

The best three (Chronologically)
For Drama - Illusion of Gaia (sadness, sacrifice and loss are how to tell a story)
For Epicness - Star Ocean-Second Story (Save the world, HA how about the entire universe)
For Comedy - M&L, (doesn't really matter which one, they all win: I HAVE FURY!)

Chrono trigger and The World Ends with you

 

Mother 3 hands-down.

The story is amazing, and so is ALL the dialogue in the whole game.

Oh, the irony of it though.

 

Majora's Mask. If you get past some of the silly themes, it has a really, REALLY dark setting, with a pretty cool plot.
