Yeah I really love the Suikoden series too.

It is the same game. Just has a different name in certain regions I think....not too sure but I have seen people referring to it as Tombi and Tomba.

suikoden 1,2,3 , I like the loading feature.

vagrant story
star ocean 1,2,3 haven't played the 4th

 

come on now pokemon games are rpgs?
there are 1st no quests
2nd no other playable characters (i dont take pokemons as characters)
3rd no mp points
4th the trading system (are there many games in which you can trade pokemons or characters if you like?)
5th underground underground is a minigame with the flags traps bases and stuff but THERE IS NO HIGH SCORE or ANY STORY BASED ON IT its just for fun most rpgs have minigames but you need to do some in order for the story to progress

there are facts that make it look like rpgss but THEY ARENT whether you like it or not they are in the adventure genre

 

Pokemon games are RPG's,even if you don't want to admit it.
I'll counter some of your points:
1st no quests
Your quest is to catch them all and be the pokemon master

2nd no other playable characters (i dont take pokemons as characters)
Your pokemon are your party members,if you don't count that then its your problem

3rd no mp points
Its called pp,and it stops people from just spamming their strongest move

4th the trading system (are there many games in which you can trade pokemons or characters if you like?)
Let me ask you,how many RPG allow you to connect to another game?If you can't connect to another game,you can't trade,simple.

This is complete and utter bull.Minigames usually have nothing to do with the main story and they are solely for fun.In Lufia II there's 2 cashinos,but they have nothing to do with the main story.In FF6 there's a colosseum,butyou don't need to visit it to complete the game.Same issue with FF4DS's stupid doll minigames.


See?Its an RPG,no matter how hard you try to deny it.

Anyone in the US planing on getting Demon's Souls when it releases in Oct? I'm thinking seriously about it, but I may wait until after it launches and get a used copy figure if its as hard as they are hyping it up to be I say a lot of short tempered people may be trading it back in for something else.

 

Man I hope there are some Skies of Arcadia fans here >_>. Indefinitely the best RPG I have ever played. Great music, amazing storyline and excellent character personality. It will make you want to play it until you have completed every last side quest.

 

I have Skies of Arcadia on Dreamcast also had it on Game Cube at one time but its long gone now, but I agree it is a very good.
