Hi guys. I'm looking to get into PSP hacking/piracy etc. What's the cheapest, easiest to hack PSP that's widely available in the UK (or easy to import)? In fact, any info/advice at all would be greatly appreciated, as I have no idea about hacking PSPs in the slightest.

All PSP's are now hackable, except the newest firmware (6.39 or greater, I think). You might want to look into a 2000 or 1000, since the newest PSP-3000 might have some unhackable firmware. I have a PSP-3001, running 6.20 TN-E. Works fine.

    PSP Slim is awesome.

The cheapest way to hack one is through software.

I would recommend having a Pandora Battery though just in case. Though there are ways around this.

Also, the slims are good, but finding a hackable one is hard these days unless you get the Star Wars (Darth Vader) or the Crystal Slim, Daxter Edition PSPs.

And of course, any 1000 is hackable.

But all PSP's are now hackable.

    All PSP models are hackable.
    All firmware versions are hackable.

    Buy whatever you can afford.

if your looking to just play games, re-signed games are the easiest. I find.

There is no hacking involved at all
You just put them on your PSP memory card and you play.

Although i only have a few games right now, im adding more each day or so.

I mean that not all psp's are hackable without a pandora battery

Ok. So basically, I get whatever I want? And if I can get re-signed games, it will work on any PSP, even completely un-hacked ones? That's pretty good! If I've misunderstood something, please tell me. Thanks, everyone, for all your help.

I think you need to ask that to Ace1o1! He is the pro

So which PSPs won't run re-signed games without hacking, and which PSPs need the pandora battery or a specific game to hack them?

I don't know why people waste their money on a pandora battery. I hacked 3 psp's (1000, 2000 and 3000) without using it. Software only...

All PSP models are hackable. I have a PSP 3001 and it is very much hackable. But 2000's are cool too. :D

Got the 2000 because it was cheaper and I saw no advantage to the 3000 (for my uses at least).
