who cares metallica aren't that great anyway i never understand why people go on about them so much they have a few good riffs but the vocals truly are rubbish and allot of the tracks are a bit samey.

and bands do sell out its the way of the world but that's not the main problem it the kids who say "they sold out"

NO they grew up so they change their image so they don't look like a bunch of losers who couldn't get a job if their music failed them
and they amend there music to appeal to a global market rather then the small amount of rebellious teenagers that got them famous.

also it not so much selling out as reaching their goal, allot of bands do controversial things or work for years on their first album cause its what makes them famous, after that it doesn't matter

anyone and everyone sells out anyway and it makes no difference because a band shouldn't be what they stand for they should be about how good their music is there are lots of bands that sell out and their music still sounds good but then as with most they tone down the music tone down the drama and make crappy records cause it sells and if you had a grown up head on you'd realize you would do it to.

even i thought of making pop rock/metal as an experiment to see how much better it would do then any other music i have performed and i bet if i did it i'd do well, and if it were to ever take off and sell i don't think i'd ever care what some spotty teenager moaning that i'd sold out would say because the records on my wall would say different.

I wouldn't classify system of a down as a metal band. They are more of a hard rock act. But indeed they are a great band until they released Mesmerize and Hypnotize. Those were awful records. The self-titled and Toxicity albums were fantastic.

I saw In Flames in concert once before they went total bullsh.t. I even saw Iced Earth before they lost Matt Barlow (and now he's back!). My fav band is the powerfag metal outfit Kamelot. If there were a man I'd go gay for, it'd be Roy Khan.

Great song. It's a deathcore band.

As for Doom I really enjoy Agalloch and Swallow The Sun is a great Doom/Melodic Death Metal band!

Ok I am VERY confused atm. Dream Theater is Metal? We are talking about the group that was around in the 80s, that had an almost Dokken style sound right? Or am I a complete tool and there is a new Dream Theater that I have been mistaking this with? I hear Dream Theater and I think of nightmare on elm street 3 I believe it was. (Dream Warriors). Please help me end the confusion.
