apophos755, rammstein is kick ass! Du hast and Feur Frei all the way! oh yeah, if you've hread inside the fire by disturbed, did you know that the song actually represents his old girlfriend who commited suicide in his apartment (actually not sure about the scene.)

Kinda sad huh. I feel sympathy for Dave (Lead Vocalist with the GF death) I nearly ended up in the same situation late last year :(

    Rammstein have some legend songs.

I'm kinda pissed off at myself for not mentioning this band sooner......Ministry. Psalm 69 is one of their best albums. It has an industrial undertone, but the heart of it is hardcore.

For those of you that have never heard of this band, you're missing out.

Dude, that is fucking sick.....I loved it. I just wish David's voice was a little bit more gravelly like James Hetfield's, but other than that........perfect.

Very nice cover. Dave's voice was a bit robotic at parts, but the rest was good. And the riff was played a bit differently (no hammerons and pulloffs from what I could see and hear), but covers should be played a bit differently :)

Don't even get me started on Avril Lavigne trying to sing 'Fuel'. Disgusting.

    "Dulcinea" - Isis.

    Sure, it's like, sludge post-metal. I guess.

Slayer are awesome. One of the all time greatest bands.

I'm sorry guys but Disturbed are a really weak band. All their songs sound the same. The vocalist is so limited in terms of his voice. It sounds like he is rapping half the time. I must admit though that sometimes he can sing nicely, but rarely. The riffs that they come up with are very limited too. They just play very similar chords all the time. If you want riffage mastery look no further than Children of Bodom. Alexi is perhaps the greatest modern day guitarist. There are so many better bands out there. No offence and everyone is entitled to their opinion but I just personally don't see them as a great band.

Hasn't been mentioned yet but Daath is really sweet Industrial Melodeath band. If you haven't heard them, they are pretty cool. Check it out.

I don't really consider Disturbed to be metal.
That being said I also don't like them that much.

But I am much more of a Death metal fan.

has anyone mentioned The Black Dahlia Murder yet? That band is awesome. Unhallowed is one of the greatest Black/Death metal albums of all time. Let's not forget they were the first so-called "Deathcore" band. They had the most amazing lyrics.

"My purpose manifests, I am void of delusion
I am born into this wolven form in seek of human flesh

    Lead by vampiric hunger
I will to feast upon the bones of the meek
    The marrow of my enemies

Lusting to be bathed in the blood of a child
To quench my maw with shreds of virgin flesh
To tear apart he who I once was
To rid the world of his feeble lies"

    Classic !!!!!

Lacuna Coil( although I think they are more on the gothic side)
    Metallica
    Pantera
    Bullet For My Valentine
    That's just my opinion

Lacuna Coil are only called goth because of the female lead vocalist. Instrumentally they are metal. And Disturbed ARE METAL. Who ever said they consider them not to be; If you actually sit down and listen to them you will see that they are FAR too heavy to be anything but!

I can't believe I forgot to mention these guys. I find that the vocals take a bit of getting used to, but everything else is just awesome IMO.

lacuna coil are not metal and nor is disturbed

disturbed's first album was the closest thing to metal but I'd class them as a bit of heavy pop rock for the kids who think it metal and want to act hardcore :D

ah lacuna coil now that takes me back to my goth day, man that stuff is shit. a used to love all these bands that every one is going on about and in terms of genre they are metal but they're not metal to me.
its all so boring and samey i guess my taste in music has progressed and i shouldn't criticize as i used to like all that trollop

Disturbed is nu-metal, and it's for angsty pre-teens.
