I used to tour with pretty big bands back in my hay-day, as an audio engineer.

I'm pretty sure I know my genre's, the rock-related ones at that!

 

i hate when every band get a new damn sub genre just so the fans can define it as something new or different

anyway i wouldn't say linkin park is anything more then a bit of angsty rock, defiantly not on the metal spectrum

 

I'm pretty sure he meant Nu-Metal.
Its a genre which I personally find hard to consider metal though.

Though others might classify it as rapcore.
Depends on the album in mention.

So, as stated, I guess the genre depends on the album being discussed.
