Best GTA game?

Vice City is easily the best, although San Andreas was epic. GTA IV was a flop, went for graphics over GTA-ness.

 

So sad that GTAIV is not on the Wii...

I can't really say which is the best since I've only played all of them very briefly, besides Vice City and the handheld ones.

 

I've only played GTA SA and 4, i liked the sound track is SA a lot more the the one in GTA 4, but i'm going to have go with 4v(PS3) because people would respond to where you shot them, and the main character in this one was a lot more likable (for me anyways)

 

The new GTA games aren't that great. With the exception of Chinatown. Awww, brings me back to the Playstation versions.

 

San andreas was the best iwas addicted to it for months.

 

My favorite one is San Andreas by far though. The level of customization on things was INSANE. I'm hoping the next GTA is similar to this one since IV didn't have nearly as many features as SA did.

Not all of the features in SA were good- I didn't like how you had to eat food and stuff. It's GTA, not an RPG. But yeah, I sort of liked the stats but I didn't really concentrate on that.

 

Vice-City, so much more vibrant i think. Just sucked me in with the awesome cars and fun environment and owning businesses and mansions.

 

Yeah- I know, it's awesome. And I didn't really use many spawning cheats in VC because there were so many cars and as you said they were just awesome and were fast. I preferred the character Tommy living in glamorous Miami city rather than the loner CJ who lives in "the hood". most gta games has loners turning into heroes, but CJ just stays a loner, no matter how much respect he gains in that RPG crap.

 

i reckon chinatown was the most sophisticated so far. i like how you can do drug deals, steal ammo and drugs and just coz it's top-down view it doesn't mean it's bad.

 

GTA 4

 

Can somebody help me on Vice City PC? I need a map with locations like safehouses on it. I only have 3 safehouses and am looking for more.

i think that gta vice city is so annoying in how you drown in water and the helicopter controllling is crap.

 

lol-i started to spawn all these tanks and suddenly they started to go on top of each other then started to fly out. i'm a really fast typer and all these tanks were flying every second and it was like a tidal wave.

 

Before a big race, spawn a bunch of cars in front of them, it buys you a lap(dance).

Oh right...they uh...removed that didn't they?
More than one reference was used...

But seriously, try it, it really slows them down because they're like WTF??

i just got another pic of me and i was doing a stunt and it was only halfway through it i noticed something was wrong....

 

here simple:
GTA san andreas has the coolest feature and customization (parachuting from f-16 is fun!!!)

GTA IV has the best story and deep emotion, the characters are unique and good voice acting.

so just you like story or feature more(never compare graphics, GTA IV are just too awsome!!)
but for me story is #1 most important part of the game so i choose GTA IV

 

gta vice city had the most glamorous locations and fastest cars. hate san andreas how it has crappy cars.

 

Out of the 4 I've played (1, 2, San Andreas, and Chinatown), Chinatown Wars is the only one I've enjoyed enough to buy. I put it on my R4 a while back, and within 3 days I said to myself "I must buy this game." I haven't regretted it! 1 and 2 had bad controls and a tenuous story. The gameplay was also rather 1 dimensional. San Andreas just had too much crap in it, if you ask me. I had no issues with the whole "black guy in the 'hood" story; I can't relate to it but hey, what are stories for? I just got tired of how big SA was.
