    All suites are resource hogs compared to standalone programs, thats one of the reasons I dont like them. The other main reason is security. If someone manages to compromise one, you don't want to give them a back door into the rest.

    LOL Loony,Ive been using computers since Windows 3.1.I used to run my own computer repair business so I do know quite a bit.But Im noticing people are chipping in with advice,and the topic ends up going backwards,which gets on my nerves.So Im not going to contribute any more to any security advice.I may just have a laugh with a few of my pals instead-or you or Seph can just delete this account.

    Account deletion = no primary RomU DL account.

    Well do you think that qualifies you to condemn Norton Antivirus
    and besides the best windows version in my opinion was Windows 95

    win95 was awful, general protection fault every few minutes. the best of the 9x series had to be 98SE.

    Avast Antivirus w/ COMODO firewall is the best combo in the world, if you're alright with slow virus scans. AVG is okay... lots of false positives. Kapersky is pretty good.

    Norton 2010 isn't bad, it doesn't suck as much as 2006-2009. It's still a resource hog though, and thinks everything is trying to hack my computer. I told my parents to trash it, but then they got 2010 for free.

    norton = evil
    As for Avast, isn't there a reset to defaults button anywhere? Not sure why, but it seems to be trying to scan everything often, as my pc is slowing down a bit when I copy or move anything XD
